Sister Wives

Has anyone else had this happen? I am watching Sister Wives from the beginning. I had watched a bit when I was younger and had seen up until the point that Robyn had her first baby and that was it, so now, I started at the beginning and am watching again because my mom watches and had said divorces were happening, so I wanted to see for myself. I was at the point that Meri and Leon were pushing for Leon to go to an expensive college, BUT, I had not seen or heard that Leon had changed their pronouns or name yet, so I posted using their old name and pronouns. They took down the post(totally understandable) and then banned me for 30 days, again, understandable if they thought I was doing it out of hate. But when I messaged them back to explain that I simply didn't KNOW the story, they blocked me from messaging. I would never intentionally misuse pronouns or deadname anyone. Has anyone else been banned and they don't even let you explain?

Edited to Add: I love this sub so much more already! Y'all are seriously so much more open and laid back. I have been looking for a place to feed my (recent) Sister Wives addiction and this place is amazing!

Sometimes I get a little too elevated (iykyk). I often sing “My name is Kevin, YEAH, That is my name, YEAH, They call me Kevin, YEAH, Cuz that’s my name ROLL CALL” from The Office while elevated. And then I decided “Hmmm….Sister Wives…Roll…Call? Yep, doing it.”

I want to start by saying I am a HUGE sister wife’s fan… and I love psychoanalyzing the family… so much to unpack.

Watching the show has felt like an anthropology project and I genuinely adore all the kids and the ex wives!

This morning I shared a post trying to dive deeper on Kody Brown in a very compassionate way… trying to start a discussion about where to find sympathy for a man who’s behaviors are so distasteful and and what created him into the man he is today.

I GOT REEMED BY FANS 😂 They simply could NOT process two truths existing at once… and couldn’t find the humanity in him. The lack of emotional intelligence in the responses was disturbing. I was even accused by one user of being in cahoots with Robyn and Kody (I’m a fan and have never met any of these people 😂)

Kody and Robyn have awful behaviors… But after what I just received… I can’t imagine the harassment they receive on a daily basis… so sad…

I just wanted to discuss his behaviors in an elevated way! 😅 if anyone has any deeper thoughts on his behaviors and what went into the creation of Kody Brown… I’d love to hear it!

TLC posted a video of Christine and David, with the caption mentioning we will be able to watch their story unfold.

Personally, I am happy with Sister Wives continuing with the same title, but focusing more on Christine, Janelle, and Meri on their next journeys in life. I can’t imagine anything interesting enough to watch coming from Robyn and Kody with the way things are going currently. I can only imagine they will continue being angry and tearful in Flagstaff.

What would you like to see from Sister Wives in the next season and beyond? More of the same? Different cast? Different title?

Watching the episodes from Covid and Robyn’s nanny just let them know she has it. One, why does Robyn have a nanny in the first place? Kody is there basically full time and she has two adult children and the young ones are like 8 and 4? Are her and Kody really that unable to care for her children? Two, Didn’t the rest of the wives raise small children by themselves? If I was another wife I’d tell her get off her add and make them kids some lunch! Am I wrong? Is there a reason she always has someone taking care of her kids? Rant/vent but also a real question

Remember when Janelle told Kody to stay and talk during their big fight, and he went to the door and said “Ah…no!” I’m not taking his side in the fight, but I say those words in my head all the time with his same inflection. I’ll get an email at work where someone asks me for something, and I’ll think (in Kody’s voice): “Ah…no!” 😂 What SW quote do you use in everyday life?
