Doesn't that constitute a death threat against LEO? Hard to imagine any BLM protestor would just walk away from that one without a near-death beating + arrest.

Yes. He even disclaims that it's an "idle threat," which is pretty much the dividing line between free speech and illegal threats. Very little wiggle room to say that this wasn't intended to intimidate LEOs into not enforcing the law (an actual crime).
