The Mainframe accepts submissions in all fandoms. There are no restrictions on ratings, and the only content restrictions are no bestiality or pedophilia (e.g. sexual situations involving children). Chan (teen/adult or teen/teen relationships) is accepted, as long as the younger character(s) shows secondary sexual characteristics.

All fanfic archived in the Mainframe has to be approved by the mad archivist. (She's been doing too many "archive-it-all" sites lately and she's kicking that "the archivist has the right to be picky" clause in her contract into effect. ::grin::)

Please send your submissions to wildcat@topsurf.com, in plain ASCII text or already formatted in HTML. You may also use the submission form located here. Please do not send Microsoft Word documents or anything similar. It's entirely possible that Eil's operating system is different from yours and she might not get your story.

Send your stories single spaced with a blank line between each paragraph. Please have your stories edited before you send them. Run a spell-check, have a beta-reader go over it a couple of times... polish it up. Stories will not be edited after submission, and the mad archivist is likely to delete the story if the mistakes are too glaring. (psst... she's a certified Grammar Nazi) If you need a beta reader, Eiluned can do some beta work (depending on how badly RL is kicking her ass). Email her at wildcat@topsurf.com to ask. You can also ask around on email lists, or look on Beta_Unlimited, a list specifically for beta readers and seekers. You can join up here: http://www.egroups.com/group/Beta_Unlimited.

Include a header that looks something like this one:

Title: the title of your story
Author: this is you, silly ;)
Disclaimer: so George, Chris, Joe or whoever else won't sic their lawyers on you
Rating: MPAA ratings, if you please. if you use another system, just leave a note and the mad archivist will rate it, if you'd like
Summary: just a brief description will do
Warnings: if any. please warn for subjects that you think readers might find disturbing

Also include your email address so that you can get feedback. :)

If your favorite fandom isn't featured on the Mainframe yet, do not fret! Just send a note to the mad archivist recommending some stories and she'll look into it! If you have a story from an unfeatured fandom, send that, too. The more fandoms, the merrier.
