Law firm D.Foigt and partners/REGIJA
was founded in 1993 as one of the first private law
firms after Lithuania regained its independence in 1990.
During ten years of its business, the number of REGIJA
lawyers has increased up to eleven, three of whom are
partners, six – associated lawyers, and the rest –
lawyers. During these years
the scope of work has increased dramatically.
From the very beginning of its
existence REGIJA strived to provide only top quality
business law services that conformed to international
standards and, while practicing in rapidly developing
Lithuanian economy, maintained the status of one of the
leading law firms in the country.

Basic activities
Our firm's general area of practice
is business law and private international law. REGIJA
provides for the clients permanent legal assistance
services, assures representation of the clients in
courts, arbitration tribunals, provides legal services
when concluding transactions in the range of enterprise
foundation, reorganization, acquisition, management,
privatization, sale of the property, tenancy, lending
and in other commercial relations. REGIJA may offer
legal services in the fields of labor law and family
law.

Objectives
The main goal
of the firm is the quality of the services provided and
the exceptional attention to every client. The
concentrated and well organized work of the firm’s
lawyers as well as the solid experience enable to take
part in the large scale projects of investment,
privatization, finance, restructuring, etc.

Academic
The lawyers of the firm give lectures
and do scholarly work at Law Faculty of Vilnius
University, Law University of Lithuania, International
Business School, and International School of Management
(ISM). Most of the lawyers have improved their knowledge
at science institutions of Europe and the USA. All
lawyers of the firm constantly improve their
qualification by participating in international
conferences. As far back as 1986 the doctoral degree of
law sciences was granted to the senior
partner of the firm. Besides that, two members of the
firm will be granted doctoral degree of social sciences
in the nearest future.

REGIJA is coperating with the
Lithuanian branch of KPMG - one of the world's "big
four" business service corporations and is in close
co-operation with the famous international law firm
“Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher
& Flom LLP & Affiliates”. This
association enables REGIJA to provide full-coverage and
comprehensive business, legal and financial services,
thus ensuring high complexity, effectiveness and quality
of the services rendered. Our experience gained from
participation in the large-scale projects assures the
top quality and regularity of the services we provide.
Membership of REGIJA in the group of
European law firm
enables to keep active relations with law firms that
specialize in providing business legal services in the
EU and other countries.

Other activities
REGIJA is an active participant in
preparation of the drafts of various legislature acts of
the Republic of Lithuania. One of the latest examples of
such activity – REGIJA was the participant of the
experts group that had the task to prepare the new Law
on Telecommunications of the Republic of Lithuania. The
lawyers of REGIJA also participate in the group on the
preparation of Law on Electronic Signature, provides
services of legal advisor for the Communications
Regulatory Authority.
REGIJA lawyers are fluent in Lithuanian, English and
Russian. We may also provide legal services in German.
Every month we supply our clients with the review of the
latest development of Lithuanian legislation. By request
of the client, we organize workshops on the application
and interpretation of international treaties and legal
acts.
