This mini-site for the YCA aims to bring you reviews of the latest UK chess books; chiefly those from Batsford, Everyman and Gambit, whilst there are also some useful and enjoyable links to explore.

As well as these reviews, there are several others online well worth checking out: John Watson is rightly highly acclaimed, whilst ChessCafe employ a number of reviewers, especially good being Carsten Hansen on openings works. Jeremy Silman's website meanwhile has an impressive list of reviewers: Randy Bauer, John Donaldson, Jeremy Silman, Tim Taylor and John Watson, whilst a few years back Silman reviewed the reviewers.

Several older reviews are still lurking in the BCF's archives (mainly from 2000 and 2001 when John Emms did such an excellent job of editing ChessMoves), whilst if you're hoping to hunt down an old chess book in general then consider searching the secondhand listings on Abe Books.
