Sydney Gas Chief Operations Manager, Andrew Purcell,
criticised by The
United Kingdom Parliament
Named in the
Hansard Report, House of Commons . . .
The Minister may be interested to know that at a public
meeting over a year ago, StrataGas managing director, Mr. Andrew
Purcell, told local people, in his trademark listening style:
"The Government has
given us the right to drill whether you like it or not."
I am sure that the Minister will find it as galling as local people
that StrataGas was implying DTI support, long before all the issues even
started to be aired. |

Unwanted gas halts
Molopo's production
Shares in Molopo Australia
Limited (MPO) dropped 8% on 7 September 2004 after the company advised that
work on its Coal bed methane project at New South Wales Gloucester
Basin had been suspended because gas started venting from a number of old
boreholes in the area.
This problem has occurred
frequently in the United States. Australian methane gas companies have
continually denied that venting, other than from a well, can occur.
Obviously they are wrong. |
