Liverpool suffered a humiliating 2-0 defeat at the Reebok Stadium as they failed to produce the quality needed to outwit Bolton's strength, resilience and organisation.

Gary Speed scored the 1-0 in the 30th minute after blasting in a free kick and Ivan Campo doubled the score by heading in the 2-0 shortly after the break.
Faye by then already should have been sent off, after hard challenges on Kuyt and Gerrard. The Dutchman even had to be treated in the dressing room and returned with his hair covered in blood....

Liverpool have also won their second Champions League match. Galatasaray were beaten 3-2, but things didn't go easy for the Liverpudlians.

After 15 minutes the score already was 2-0, thanks to goals by Crouch and Garcia. Shortly after the break Crouch added one up by marking the most beautiful bicyclekick.
Then it was time for Galatasaray to do something in return: Umit Karan hit two in the spaces of six minutes and have the spectators once again sit on the edge of their seats.

Liverpool managed to rode out the Turkish onslaught and as time ticked away chances came and went at either end before the final whistle confirmed a win their enterprising first half performance deserved.

Dirk Kuyt scored a fine goal against Tottenham Hotspur, wich was his second Premier League goal. In the 3-0 victory over The Spurs Kuyt scored the 2-0.

Dirk Kuyt believes the incredible miss from Jermaine Jenas was the turning point in the game. He missed a very simple tap-in. The miss stung Liverpool into life with Mark Gonzalez scoring within a minute. Kuyt and Riise scored the 2-0 and 3-0 with further strikes....

Liverpool didn't get what they deserved yesterday. After an exiting match Chelsea went home with a 1-0 win and thus the important three points.
Throughout the game Liverpool were the stronger side and created some good chances by the likes of Kuyt, who hit the crossbar, and Gerrard.
But it was Didier Drogba who scored the first and only goal in the game in the 42nd minute.
Though Chelsea saw Ballack being sent off after a terrible foul on Sissoko, Liverpool weren't able to force a goal in and the match ended in a dissapointing loss to the Reds.

Everton today humiliated Liverpool in the Merseyside derby. The Blues beat The Reds by 3-0.
Aussie Tim Cahill opened the score in the 24th minute after which Andrew Johnson scored twice (36th, 90th). The Evertonians really were the stronger side throughout the game, which was being watched by over 40.000 people.
Liverpool tried and tried, but weren't able to score, despite Steven Gerrard hitting the woodwork twice.
Dirk Kuyt did not start in the first eleven, but was brought on early in the second half to replace Peter Crouch.
Despite Kuyt working hard as ever, he still has to wait for his first goal at Liverpool.

Holland and Liverpool are sweating on the fitness of striker Dirk Kuyt. The former Feyenoord player hurt his ankle during the holland’s 1-1 draw with Bulgaria in a Euro 2008 qualifier. He limped out of the contest early after the start of the first half and Holland coach Marco van Basten was pessimistic about Kuyt featuring in Wednesday's homegame against Albania....

Dirk Kuyt tonight scored his first goal at Liverpool against Newcastle United. The former Feyenoord player showed he is able to score goals, no mather where. In the 29th minute Kuyt converted from close range following a cross by Steve Finnan: 1-0 to Liverpool.

Though Kuyts first goal was a great moment for everyone in the stands, the most remarkable thing had yet to happen. Xabi Alonso scored one of the most beatiful goals ever scored on Anfield. From about 60 yards out, het spotted Newcastle goalie Steve Harper off his line and floated in an exiting dipping effort into the Kop net....

In their first match of the Champions League campaign, Liverpool drew 0-0 against PSV Eindhoven.

The Liverpudlians started, to everybody's surprise, without Hyppia, Gerrard, Alonso, Garcia and Crouch. Instead Dirk Kuyt made his first appareance in the starting eleven.

PSV had the best of the game and Arouna Kone was close scoring a beautiful goal in the first half, but his shot hit the crossbar. Liverpool didn't seem to go for the full win, but were close to scoring twice in the second half. Both Gerrard's and Kuyt's long distance screamers hit the post and so the score after 90 minutes was still even.

Dirk Kuyt is hoping to continue his good scoring form against PSV when Liverpool open their Champions League group campaign in the Philips Stadion on Tuesday night. Kuyt netted the winning goal for his former club Feyenoord against the reigning Eredivisie Champions in Rotterdam last December.

And having scored at this venue for Holland last week, the Reds' most recent signing is setting his sights on a repeat performance. As he prepares for a first return to his homeland in Liverpool colours Kuyt admits he's eagerly anticipating the opening Group C encounter. ...

Wesley Sneijder (Ajax) and Nigel de Jong (HSV) are back in the Dutch camp for today's Euro 2008 qualifier against Belarus. Both players didn't participate in the narrow win over Luxembourg. The two midfielders will probably replace Theo Janssen and Stijn Schaars.

Khalid Boulahrouz and Giovanni van Bronckhorst are also been drafted in, however Boulahrouz probably will be replaced by Heitinga because of a gastro-enteritis.

Last Sunday, before the match Feyenoord-Heracles, Dirk Kuyt said farewell to the Feyenoord-fans and the rest of the club.
He thanked everyone who helped him during his fantastic years with Feyenoord.
