Asphalt Green is a non-profit sports and fitness center located in New York City (see www.asphaltgreen.org Our Swim School provides effective and competitive learning programs for all swimmers, from four month old pre-schoolers in our warm water teaching pool to 18 year old national level competitors in our 50 meter olympic standard pool. We are seeking an individual with 2-3 years of aquatics specific management experience to function as our Swim School Principal. We are also looking for an individual with 1-2 years of supervisory experience to act as our Vice Principal for the swim school. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to perform rescues, ability to sit for extended periods while remaining alert, and hear and see distress signals required. The employee frequently is required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

In addition, The Crescenta-Cañada YMCA has identified this position as one likely to have occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Persons in these positions shall be inoculated against the HBV virus unless they decline in writing.
