Swim School Principal AND Swim School Vice Principal

Asphalt Green is a non-profit sports and fitness center located in New York City (see www.asphaltgreen.org Our Swim School provides effective and competitive learning programs for all swimmers, from four month old pre-schoolers in our warm water teaching pool to 18 year old national level competitors in our 50 meter olympic standard pool. We are seeking an individual with 2-3 years of aquatics specific management experience to function as our Swim School Principal. We are also looking for an individual with 1-2 years of supervisory experience to act as our Vice Principal for the swim school. The Principal will determine the curriculum and teaching methodology as well as build a roster of strong instructors for the Asphalt Green Swim School. The Vice Principal will manage the roster of instructors. The overall goal – provide the best swimming lessons in New York City.

Reporting to the Director of Aquatics, the Principal will manage and provide leadership to a team of 30+ instructors, including the Swim School Vice Principal and the Weekend Supervisor.

Specific Responsibilities:

Update and implement unique swim curriculum
Measure successes each term using information to guide business decisions which will improve overall program quality and drive revenue

III. Fiscal Management and Budgeting

d. Oversee all paperwork including distribution and collection of entry forms, meet/workout schedules, and special events communication

a. With the input of the Parent Club, identify and monitor progress toward a team strategic plan.

VII. Goals and Performance Evaluations
a. With the input of the Association Director of Aquatics identify and work toward achieving team goals on an annual basis
b. Performance will be monitored and evaluated upon the completion of the first 90 days and every year thereafter.
