 Flight Engine Installed
The Lockheed Martin JSF team successfully installed the first JSF119-611 flight engine on the X-35A demonstrator aircraft at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, Palmdale, California, in December. The installation was completed in a record three hours. The engine is built by Pratt & Whitney, Government Engines and Space Propulsion Division in West Palm Beach, Florida. The installation transitions the JSF program from a manufacturing activity to flight test. |
