astragon Software GmbH

Die astragon Software GmbH wurde 2000 in Hagen gegründet und hat seit Oktober 2004
ihren Sitz in Mönchengladbach. Geschäftsführender Gesellschafter ist der Firmengründer Dirk Walner.

Bildeten zunächst Budget Games den Kernpunkt des Sortiments, hat man sich heute auf anspruchsvolle Simulationsspiele für den PC spezialisiert. Daneben gehören aber auch Anwendersoftware und Tools zum reichhaltigen Programmangebot. Hier haben sich insbesondere die jährlich erscheinenden Archivierungstitel zum Marktführer entwickelt.

Den Einstieg in den Bereich „Kids Entertainment“ vollzieht astragon in 2007 insbesondere mit dem starken Labelpartner Egmont Ehapa und dessen bekannter Marke Wendy

 Nach über sieben Jahren ausschließlicher Vermarktung von PC-Titeln, kommt es mit dem ersten Nintendo DS-Spiel in diesem Jahr zu einem weiteren Novum.

Mittlerweile entwickelt astragon auch eigene Story Guides und lässt diese umsetzen, nachdem man zunächst am Markt verfügbare Titel lizenziert hat.

Mit dem Hauptgesellschafter rondomedia befindet man sich mittlerweile in einer starken Firmengruppe, was u.a. zur Erschließung weiterer Vertriebskanäle geführt hat. Ebenfalls dank dieser Zusammenschließung wurde ein starkes Team für die Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit gebildet.

Mit den folgenden Handelspartnern arbeitet astragon direkt oder indirekt zusammen. Dort finden sich auch viele der aktuellen Sortimentstitel.
Einen direkten Endkundenvertrieb gibt es daher nicht.

astragon Software GmbH has been established in 2000 in Hagen. Since October 2004 the office is in Mönchengladbach.

At first budget games constituted the core of the assortment, now one specialzed on demanding simulation games for PC. Beside that applications and tools belong to the comprehensive range. Especially the annual emerging storage titles have developed as a market leader.

The access to »kids entertainment« took place in 2007 especially with the strong label Egmont Ehapa and its well-known brand »Wendy«.

After more than 7 years commercialisation of PC-titles in this year there is the very first title for Nintendo DS.

Meanwhile astragon developes own story guides as well and lets these be realized after licensing available titles.

With the main partner rondomedia astragon finds itself in a strong group of companies, what has lead to development of new sales channels. Also due to this partnership a strong team for public relations has been build.

With the following commercial partners astragon works together directly or indirectly. You’ll find lots of titles of the current assortment there. For this reason there is no direct end customer distribution.
