Simulation And Gaming Environments (SAGE) for Learning is a bilingual, Pan-Canadian initiative to explore the potential of technology-based simulations and games for learning.

SAGE researchers are working to help you to better understand, implement, and support learning with electronic game and simulation environments.


News

April 1, 2008: SAGE researchers awarded an SSHRC Standard Reseach Grant. Dr. David Kaufman (SFU), Dr. Louise Sauvé (SAVIE and UQAM), and Dr. Lise Renaud (UQAM) have been awarded a grant for approximately $99,000 (2008 - 2011) for a field study on the impact of educational games. The study will examine the impact of online educational game characteristics on motivation, cognitive learning, and affective learning of secondary school and college students. Learn more...

March 31, 2008: SAGE for Learning INE Collaborative Research Initiative finishes. The $3 million SAGE initiative funded by SSHRC's INE CRI program and led by Dr. David Kaufman (SFU) and Dr. Louise Sauvé (SAVIE and UQAM), officially wound up its operation after 4.5 years. Learn more...
