In performing this role, the Commission advantage for agencies is that the Commission knows and understands the needs, culture, future challenges and Government expectations of the APS like no other provider can.

The Commission provides a national, comprehensive and coordinated suite of leading-edge leadership, learning and development programmes, events and services. These assist in providing APS agencies and their employees with the capability to deliver government priorities, objectives and outcomes.

Special events:

The Great APS Graduate Debate
The Great APS Graduate Debate is a new and exciting event to be hosted by the Australian Public Service Commission.

This event will build on existing Commission Graduate events such as A Taste of Government seminar and Candid Reflections and will provide further opportunities for graduates to build their knowledge of, and discuss current APS issues and meet and network with their APS graduate colleagues.

Focus on people: Foundations for APS leaders
The Commission is hosting an exciting new series which focuses on contemporary APS-wide challenges and people issues for leaders in the APS. The series is designed to provide staff at the APS 6 – EL1 level with an opportunity to hear from experts on a range of topics that will assist them in their work and career. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues whilst networking with their APS colleagues.
