Constituency Profile
Boundary changes at the election have expanded the seat northwards to take the remaining districts of Malvern Hills District Council from Leominster, which has now become North Herefordshire. In return it has lost one of its wards in Wychavon. To find out what might have happened had this boundary change been in force at the last election, see a notional - or estimated - result below.
West Worcestershire is a rural constituency on the edge of the Cotswolds. The town of Great Malvern is the major settlement, known for its spring water which is exported across the world.
The river Severn meanders through the constituency, overlooked by the Malvern hills.
Fruit growing and agriculture are very important to the local economy. Great Malvern is a tourist centre, attracting visitors due to its famous spas and its connection with the composer Edward Elgar. Transport within the constituency is efficient, enabling Upton-upon-Severn to act as a popular and accessible holiday and boating resort.
