How you can help to save our waterPlease
note your diary or calendar to vote for SAVE OUR WATER candidates when
you receive voting papers for the Canterbury Regional Council elections
around 21 September. Four SAVE OUR WATER candidates are standing in the
key constituencies of West Christchurch and East Christchurch.
If you live in North
or South Christchurch or in one of the four rural constituencies please
make sure that you vote for candidates who are committed to protecting
the Canterbury environment and our drinking water.
Talk to friends and family about the water and environmental
problems facing Christchurch and Canterbury and encourage them to vote
for SAVE OUR WATER candidates.
Tell people to visit this web site or you could download these pages and send them to everyone on your contacts list.
Ask candidates for the Christchurch City Council whether they will
insist that the Council does everything possible to stop the Central
Plains Water scheme and act to prevent any further increase in
irrigation west of Christchurch.
Help publicise water issues by writing letters to newspapers or doing anything else you can think of to create publicity.
If you have a property on a main road where a sign could be placed please contact us.
If you have any ideas regarding publicity or can offer to help deliver brochures or help out in any other way please contact us.
