Employee Benefits Overview

Wells Fargo Center for the Arts offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, long-term disability, employee assistance program, flexible spending accounts, and AFLAC supplemental insurances. Other benefits include vacation, sick, personal, holiday pay, and 401(k) plan. Part-time employees may be eligible for pro-rated vacation, personal, and holiday pay. The Arts Center pays for most of the insurance plans available for the employee. If an employee has dependent coverage, the employee pays 100% of their dependent coverage through payroll deductions.

 

Medical Plans - more...

The medical plans offered are Kaiser HMO and Blue Cross PPO.  The Center pays 90% of the employee premium for Kaiser, as Kaiser is the plan of choice.  If the employee chooses the Blue Cross PPO medical plan, the employee pays the additional cost to buy-up to the Blue Cross plan.  (Cost varies per age range.)

 

Dental and Vision Plans - more...

The dental plan offered is through Premier Access. The Center pays 90% of the employee premium for the dental plan. Premier Access is a PPO plan therefore the employee may see any dentist. The vision plan offered is through Vision Service Plan.  The Center pays 90% of the employee premium for the vision plan.  While an in-network VSP doctor’s services provide a higher level of coverage on exams, frames, lenses, and contact lenses, employees may see an out-of-network eye doctor as well.  An out-of-network doctor’s services are covered at a pro-rated amount. 

 

Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment,
Long Term Disability and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Long Term Disability and EAP Plans are offered through Prudential. The life insurance is one time the employee’s annual salary up to $50,000. The Accidental Death and Dismemberment is $50,000. Long Term Disability pays 60% of the employee’s salary up to $5,000 per month to social security Medicare age. The EAP is offered through Prudential/Guidance Resources to assist employees with many different types of life issues.  All of these plans are paid for 100% by the Arts Center.

 

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - more...

The Center offers employees the opportunity to participate in the FSA program. The FSA program allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars from their paycheck to pay for unreimbursed medical and/or dependent daycare expenses. 


AFLAC Supplemental Insurances - more...

AFLAC Supplemental Insurances are insurances paid for by employees through payroll deductions for additional insurances such as accident, cancer, hospital, and life insurance needs. An AFLAC Representative is available to meet with employees individually to discuss a customized plan for themselves and their families.

 

401(k) Plan - more...

The 401(k) plan offered is through John Hancock Financial Services.
