Karimnagar Karimnagar is the name of a district in Andhra Pradesh known for its architectural excellence and rich history. As a district it was established in 1906. One of the former Prime Ministers of India, Mr. P.V. Narasimha Rao was born in this district. This district was once an important hub for Vedic information and learning. The district derives its own name from a popular figure Syed Karimuddin Quiladar. Elgamdala was the earlier name of this place. Moreover, it had been one of the significant capitals of the Nizams.
