How to set up a custom map server

GClive uses OpenStreetMaps by default. Other map servers using a similar interface can be used.

1. Main Menu -> Tools -> Settings
2. Options -> Add mapserver
3. Give it a name for your own use.
4. Fill in the URL from below, or your own research.
5. Set the Projection to "WGS84/Spherical" (so far all of them are?)

Misc map server info

• Although you can add more, you can only use the first 5 map servers.
• There is no easy way to edit mapservers, so double check those URLs.
• Each map server entry defines a directory for storing map tiles for offline use.
• The "Remove mapserver" function removes the currently selected mapserver(!)
• The easiest way to enter the URLs are probably to surf to this page from your phone and copy/paste the URL to GCL. To surf to this page with a short url, use bit.ly/mapsrv
