Matt Weidner – Fighting For The American People

Everyone in this country needs to be real clear about what NDAA 1031 means.  It means the government can come in, seize you and hold you indefinitely with no notice, no trial, no charges.

Various Senators and groups tried to amend the bill to make it clear that it did not apply to US citizens, but this was rejected by The President and leading Senators.  What really is amazing however, is just who was against the indefinite detention provisions:

Opposition to the detention provisions came from Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, CIA Director David Petraeus, FBI Director Robert Mueller, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, White House Advisor for Counterterrorism John Brennan, and DOJ National Security Division head Lisa Monaco. The Senate ignored them all.  (see here)

Not surprisingly, big businesses are throwing major money to get this bill passed….

This of course is sheer, terrifying madness but the whole country is just sitting on the sidelines and letting this happen.  But you’re all going to regret it….because the mere fact that you are reading this post, makes you a potential target of the broad new powers.
