As we saw at Toy Fair, NECA has a new  action figure of Sylvester Stallone as Rambo in First Blood.  At 6 ¾ inches and 25 points of articulation, it’s one of the most accurate examples of everyone’s favorite mentally-unstable victim of America’s indifference to Vietnam vets turned over-the-top action hero.  In addition, Hot Toys just posted a look at a new 1/6 scale doll of Barney Ross, Stallone's Expendables 2 character, that is the next-best thing to having Sly himself on your shelf.

These announcements led us to a realization – Sylvester Stallone has had perhaps more action figures made of the characters he’s portrayed than any other actor.  So, we decided to take a look at some of the many, many, Stallone-based toys over the years.  Some of what we found was, put bluntly, things we cannot unsee.

At Toy Fair, NECA suited up and stomped some kaiju scum with the help of these Jaeger action figures from the company's new "Pacific Rim" line based on your new favorite movie (you know it's going to be true!).

A few days ago, we reported that the Weinstein Company had toy manufacturer NECA pull toys of Quentin Tarantino’s film Django Unchained following complaints from the Rev. Al Sharpton’s people, which massively drove up the prices on eBay. Well, now you can’t even get them there.

TMZ reports that the “slave toys” have been pulled from eBay, who’s sent out an email to sellers saying that “Since the manufacturer of this product has discontinued the item’s sale due to its potentially offensive nature, we are not allowing it to be sold on eBay.” Read More...

A couple of days ago, did you get a slight ringing in your ears late in the afternoon? Perhaps it sounded like a high-pitched whine. No? Well, then you were mercifully spared injury caused by the girlish squeal I let out after opening this figure of Hero Ash from NECA's "Evil Dead 2" line! It's the 25th anniversary of one of my favorite films, and this is the second series to bring Ash back to the pegs in all his groovy glory. I patiently waited for this figure for a long time, and then my addiction to toy hunts (and aversion to online ordering) caused me have to wait a little longer. "Why wait so long to get an Ash when there were two previous figures released?" Two words: Chainsaw hand! After finally finding this Deadite-killer at Hastings, I snatched him up and took him out for some review photos!

It is now Thursday the 13th, and I'm celebrating with a review of Jason Voorhees' latest action figure from NECA! He's based on his appearance in Fri-- crap. "FRIDAY the 13th!" Well, I'm still doing this review, regardless! As I was saying, the unstoppable killing machine is based on his appearance in "Friday the 13th: Part 3." There was a regular and "battle damaged" version of the figure on the racks, and I bet you can guess which one I'll be looking at today! I know quite a few Jasons and they're all bad eggs, so join me as I delve further into the details of the worst/best Jason of them all!

You read that title right, folks! NECA announced their license for toys from Marvel Studios' "The Avengers" a while back, but I (and most people, according to Twitter) thought it would mostly be relegated to Head Knockers and such. Well, we were all wrong! NECA sent along a single photo of the first entry into their "The Avengers" 18" line: Captain America! Honestly, this figure looks really good and appears to feature a lot of the current articulation points seen on NECA's smaller figure lines. If 6", this Cap figure would put the Hasbro version to shame, but at 1/4 scale it heads into Hot Toys and Premium Format territory. We can't wait to see more and for now, here is the full photo, along with some info straight from NECA!

NECA announced their intentions to create a line of action figures based on Ridley Scott's Prometheus a few months ago, and during the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con International we got a good, close look at them. Now, as Series 1's release (September 2012) approaches ever closer, NECA has revealed both versions of the Engineer in all their clamshell-ed glory! From all that we've seen, NECA has really went all out with this line, including planning out multiple characters and assortments. Our favorite part? These figures technically exist in the same universe as NECA's Predator line, so now our hunters will have some new prey!

NECA Toys has recently been doing the work of Aperture Laboratories with the release of their 1:1 scale Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device prop replica. While not actually being capable of opening portals through which to fling weighted cubes and/or annoying people in line at the bank, they do light up are an exact match to what is seen in the Portal 2 video game from Valve. Today, NECA is announcing the ATLAS version of the ASHPD will be going on sale in a succession of three different special sales, that will be announced exclusively on their Facebook page this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday! Not only does the Atlas light up in the correct blue and purple colors, but has some sweet blue racing stripes added on! That makes it faster!-- right?

Read on for all the info about the ASHPD: ATLAS sale, and your chance to be one step closer to living in a videogame.

NECA has become the premiere action figure company when it comes to non-superhero movie franchises, and they continued to prove it at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con International with the premiere of a slew of new toys based on this summer's biggest science fiction flick: Prometheus! We showed off a couple of the Engineer figures a while back, but this was the first time human figures were shown-- not to mention, some other nasty evolutions of the aliens in the film. Just try taking a look at Michael Fassbender's David figure and tell us you're not impressed. You're not? Liar!

Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne are just rich dudes, but they're rich dudes with crazy suits. The same can't be said for Stan Lee, Joss Whedon, Morgan Spurlock, and Harry Knowles, but starting next month, they can all fight toe to toe. The celebrities behind Comic-Con The Movie Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope will be receiving their own HeroClix figures, so if your table starts to look like "Wargames of the Rich and Famous," this should explain why.

"Groovy." That's the sentiment we had upon seeing the latest, and greatest, SDCC 2012 premiere on the NECA website: Hero From the Sky Ash! Yes, they're bringing Ash to SDCC as a con-exclusive action figure that embodies the classic cinematic masterpiece that that is the ending to Evil Dead II. While the photos of the prototype don't show it, the figure is listed as having multiple articulation points in the legs like NECA's previous Ash figures.
