Action Weekend - 2D/2N
High-mountain
hike, monster downhill cycle, river-trekking – all
in one weekend!
AND we may able to throw-in some hot-spring soaking, barbequing,
nature walking, aboriginal culture, tea-picking, Yushan
national park visitor center visit, stone carving, white-water
rafting…and more, time permitting.

---
Day -1
Meet up 8pm sharp downtown Tainan, travel by van 150 km
eastwards through Yushan National Park to an elevation
of 2722 meters, and camp sometime around midnight. Curl
up in your sleeping bag, enjoying the starry sky and crisp
air.
---
---
Day 1
Watch, (from your sleeping bag if you want) as the sun
rises from a sea of clouds, while munching on breakfast
(western) and fresh coffee. When fully awake we climb
Kuan-shan-ling-shan. This 3,174 meter (10,400 feet) mountain
is possibly the easiest/quickest of the top 100 mountains
in Taiwan to climb; stunning views to both the East and
West (as well of the famous Kuan mountain) can be expected
on this 3/4 hour roundtrip hike. Return to the van and
ready bicycles for a breath-taking 50km ride downhill
on what is reckoned by many as the most beautiful road
in Taiwan..
End the day at our idyllic camp base in the sub-tropical
san-ming valley. Relax with the fireflies, or join us
in whatever is going on.
---
---
Day 2
After breakfast, walk (and swing) through the sub-tropical
jungle to the idylic Er-shi river for some easy river-tracing.
We then work our way downstream, stopping for waterfalls,
swimming and refreshments. Evening: return to Tainan…and
harsh reality.
