The couple that works out together, stays together! Goldie Hawn shows off impeccable physique as she and Kurt Russell enjoy a merry trot

They caught each other's eye on the set of 1984 comedy Swing Shift and a romance was born.

And over 30 years on, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell proved that they clearly know the secret ingredients to a delightfully long lasting relationship as they enjoyed a blissfully happy couple's trot on Friday morning.

The actress, who celebrated her 68th birthday on Thursday, looked utterly fabulous and youthful in her form-fitting workout attire alongside the love of her life in residential Brentwood.

The screen darling could have easily passed for half her age with her fit figure.

She wore a tight and fun black and grey patterned workout tank over the top of slim-fitting black pants, which flattered her toned body beautifully.

At the beginning of the morning stroll, The Banger Sisters actress made the smart choice of keeping herself warm in a sensible black hooded sweatshirt, and as she zipped the garment all the way up her famous golden locks came tumbling out the front along with a giant grin.

In spite of the sunglasses, Goldie could not wipe the beaming smile off her face as she marched alongside her beau in the chilly Los Angeles breeze.

Kurt, who looked like he may have felt the cold a tad more than his partner in crime, rugged up in comfortable track pants and a dark green fluffy sweatshirt which looked guaranteed to keep his body heat locked in tight.

It was an adorable sight to see as the couple strolled along the residential streets side by side, deep in conversation with one another.

Despite the fact that the pair have been in close proximity to one another for so many years, they still seemed to have plenty to talk about, with Goldie making enthusiastic hand gestures here and there to convey story points to her man.

And Kurt looked mighty chuffed to be in the company of his lovely companion, throwing the shutterbugs bright grins and happy waves as they passed by.

Perhaps there really is an actual trick to it, which Goldie revealed when she spoke on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour last year.

'There's a trick,' she explained. 'You have to like the way each other smell.'

'I think it's that the pheromones haven't gone away. The chemicals are still popping.'

The actress - whose daughter is Kate Hudson - went on to give her thoughts on what makes a successful partnership.

'You don't always agree with your mate. You don't even like them sometimes. But there is something there that sparks you. You have to focus on that as you move on.'

And as for Kurt himself, Goldie could not have been more excited, gushing in the same interview: 'I think Kurt's an extraordinary person. I love being with him and I love our family and I love our family life.'

The pair met on the set of 1983 flick Swing Shift and have raised three children together - one they had together, Wyatt, and two - Kate and Oliver - from Goldie's second marriage to Bill Hudson.

Love them, Kurt's always been a favorite, they are such a cute couple, and they look great! Both have lost some weight recently, the family that works out together and has fun together, stays together!
