Like before, an evil mask of unspeakable power attaches itself to Rick at the beginning of each “Splatterhouse” game. The Terror Mask is believed to have been made by the Mayans. This mask guides Rick through hell and back in his search for his missing girlfriend, Jennifer.  Rick wreaks havoc on……

This week we bring you a game that will relaunch of one of our all time favorite series, Splatterhouse for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. retro Review: Splatterhouse

Splatterhouse made its debut in Japanese Arcades in 1988. It was developed by Namco and is one of the first “horror” games ever made. The game made it’s way to home consoles in 1989 via NEC’s Turbo Grafx 16. With the series getting its first new release in over 17 years this Tuesday, we thought it would be a perfect time to take a look at the only home console release of the game that started it all. Is the original Splatterhouse worth tracking down,  or should Rick have been left to rot away in the basement of West Mansion? Find out in our latest Retro Review.
