What a sweet treat! Cindy Crawford takes mini-me daughter Kaia to Dylan's Candy Bar in LA for the debut of its cosmetics range

It's the kind of outing that Willy Wonka would approve of.

Cindy Crawford took her 12-year-old daughter Kaia to the Candy Bar in Los Angeles on Saturday.

But the supermodel and her lookalike tween weren't there for the delectable sweets or chocolates.

The pair were at the store to celebrate the launch of  the Candy Girl Collection, a range of treat-inspired lip products and rainbow-coloured nail polishes created with Claire’s Accessories, that are, of course, completely calorie free.

The mother and daughter looked as brightly dressed as the shop itself.

Cindy, 48. wore a peach-coloured dress with jazzy circular designs in shades of blue, cream and orange.

She cinched in around her trim waist with a brown belt that matched her leather flip flops and handbag.

Her face was free of make-up, as usual, as she posed for photographs with Kaia and the store's founder Dylan Lauren, who is the daughter of clothing designer Ralph Lauren,

The little girl, who is the spitting image of her mum, looked cute in a black T-shirt with a brightly patterned mini-skirt. She paired her adorable outfit with black T-bar shoes and a jaunty black hat.

Of course, she and her mom couldn't resist tasting some of the store's signature lollipops.

Cindy was joined at the event by author Jane Buckingham and actor-turned-painter Greg Lauren and his wife, Showgirls actress Elizabeth Berkeley Lauren.

Dylan opened her first Candy Store in 2001 in New York, which  claims to be the largest sweet shop in the world.

Aside from sweet treats and chocolates the store also has a limited clothing range and has now expanded to cosmetics. There are also branches in Miami and the Hamptons.

Kaia is Cindy's daughter with her husband of 16 years, Rande Gerber, 52, a bar and nightlife entrepreneur.

The couple also have a 14-year-old son, Presley who opted not to join the girly afternoon out.
