'I have NOT lost weight,' insists model Robyn Lawley after posting slimming selfie

By Daniel Van Boom

She recently showed off a seemingly slimmer physique.

But Robyn Lawley has strongly denied that she's lost any weight.

'I have not lost weight. I even weight myself to check,' she wrote in a Thursday Facebook post, 'the photo I took was through a mirror and I'm a model so I know how to pose in the most flattering ways.'

However, the 24-year-old said that she had taken up yoga and kickboxing in order to strengthen her core, which has caused some muscle gain.

Robyn has found tremendous success as a model, but has often bemoaned her 'plus sized' label, and on Thursday said 'I never labelled myself plus size.'

'It was...given to me because I'm an Australian 16 and for some reason in the fashion world that's considered plus.'

She stressed that she's happy with her weight and that 'I don't ever starve myself or diet...I try to eat as healthy as I can day to day and always have.'

The hoopla all began when Robyn posted a picture of herself in a crop top and tights, showing a thinner, more toned torso, which lead her social media followers to laud her for losing weight.

On Friday she Instagrammed a selfie that showed her wearing a fresh pair of comfy Homies pants after returning from a brief trip to Sydney.

Robyn was looking quite American in the shot, wearing white kicks, a denim hoodie as her brunette locks fell out of her backward-turned snapback cap.

The Western Sydney-born beauty touched down in Australia last Wednesday, telling her Instagram followers that despite it being Winter, she was 'glad to be back.'

But it wasn't all for pleasure, as Robyn took part in at least one shoot during her stay, which ended on Thursdsay.

When they pose her for her "plus size" swimsuits, they have her position herself to show a very slight amount of fat (normal and healthy) to make her look bigger. The obsession with hip bones and thigh gaps in the fashion world is preposterous. Those stick insects on the haute couture runway, who would want to look like them? Not me. This girl eats healthy food and works out and looks great.

Before anymore people have a fit, you need to understand that plus-size in high fashion is DIFFERENT than plus-size in commercial/main-stream fashion (usually American women's sizes of 14 are classified as "plus size" here in North America). She is certainly NOT "fat" but in terms of bone structure she DOES have larger bones than the average woman. And no I'm not just talking height. Heidi Klum who is tall (5'11), although not "stick-thin", would still look quite slim next to this model. It's because the model has larger bone structure, where as Heidi's bone structure is pretty medium, and someone like Karli Kloss (or Miranda Kerr) have quite small bone structures, while still being tall. You can be very skinny but still look wider than someone who is not as toned, but has a naturally slimmer built. It's down to genetics really. What's important is that she's healthy for her own size :) No need to justify it to people who don't care about their own bodies.

It's could just be that she's just toned up from yoga/kickboxing and hence looks slimmer while maintaining the same weight as before, since muscle weighs more than fat? She looks great either way.

She may look slimmer and have not lost weight. Muscle weighs more than fat. Tone up your blubber and you will lose inches but gain pounds. It's the truth.

Hmmmm I don't believe it, she's either lying or they photoshopped her fuller in the model shots. There's a clear difference, need to go to specsavers love.
