Hitting the bullseye! Hugh Jackman adds yet another string to his bow and learns how to master archery

By Zoe Nauman

For the role of Wolverine he learnt martial arts and as the pirate Blackbeard Hugh Jackman mastered swordplay.

And now it looks like Hugh Jackman is adding yet another string to his bow, literally, taking on the skill of archery.

The actor took to social media on Saturday and posted a picture of himself learning how to score the perfect bullseye.

He appears to be getting to grips with a bow and arrow while in Europe with wife Deborra- Lee Furness.

The 45-year-old captioned the pic: 'Hey ... you never know what's lurking around the bend! #bullseye.'

It isn't known if he was learning the skill for his latest film Pan, which he was recently filming in the UK, or just for fun.

Hugh and Deborra have been making the most of their time in Europe - they have paid visits to Italy and are now back in England

On Friday Hugh posted a throwback snap with his father - looking fresh faced the actor appears to be in his late teens.

He captioned the shot: 'THROW (WAY) BACK THURSDAY! With my Dad and Brother. Cheers. #notsolongago #sticks #lovinlife.'

Last week he was enjoying a stint in Italy with his wife - the actor has been posting regular updates on his Instagram account of their adventures.

Visiting the Statue of David at The Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze (or 'Gallery of the Academy of Florence') last Friday, the Australian actor posed in front of the famous Michelangelo sculpture.

'Another check off the bucket list' Hugh wrote next to the Instagram selfie, hash-tagging it with 'Florence', 'Ciao' and 'Bella'.

Later as the couple continued their sight-seeing in the Italian province, the loved up Aussie power couple visited the Vomitorium.

The site, which has nothing to do with being sick,  is an ancient Roman theatre in Florence and while the couple pair visited the ruins, the super fit Wolverine star decided to go for a run.

Hugh shared a short video of himself racing up the ruins of the stone steps jumping and leaping through where a crowd would have once sat, till he reached the top and raised his arms in success.

The Real Steel star was again casually dressed, wearing black shorts and a black T-shirt with a light jacket tied around his waist.

The Australian actor might not be able to go incognito these days with his distinctive mustache and beard but that hasn't stopped the actor from getting out and about.

Hugh seemed to be in holiday mode on Thursday, posting a couple of pictures on his Instagram of he and his wife going for a ride, literally.

In the first photo posted, Hugh gushed to fans: 'Morning bike ride with my Deb. #lovinlife'

The selfie of the star and his 58-year-old wife showed the pair on the banks of the river cuddled up with Hugh wearing sunglasses and the couple clearly putting safety first, with their helmets firmly in place.

As they rode around, Hugh took another shot as he approached some interesting white stone statutes, captioning the photo with '....so then I ran into to them/these!'

In the photo, Hugh is on a yellow bike the colour of a New York taxi and is wearing a black round neck T-shirt with a grey undershirt and navy blue chinos.

Stradling his bike with his head thrown to one side and his arms crossed in front of him, the Aussie star looked like he was trying to get into his own statute pose.

Hugh has also been keeping his fans in the loop on his recent London adventures, including a trip to the iconic Portobello Road markets, a day out at Wimbledon and taking in a Bruno Mars concert.

The actor has been in the UK recently, filming the upcoming movie Pan, in which he plays the pirate Blackbeard.

The blockbuster reboot of the Peter Pan movie, due out in July 2015, also stars actress Amanda Seyfried along with model Cara Delevingne and is being filmed at Leavesden Studios, just outside of London, where the Harry Potter franchise was made.

Leavesden Studios was also where Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis recently filmed their upcoming Sci-Fi film Jupiter Ascending and Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt shot the majority of their blockbuster action flick Edge of Tomorrow.

Wow, great Hugh...Why not come over to our house and let my wife anoint you with fragrant oils & cream. I'll wait in the basement, she can invite her friends. And we lesser men can do what lesser men do, I can carry heavy things and type quite well !
