Having a blast! Kate Moss puts on a leggy display in printed mini dress at British Fashion Awards... Before leaving after party looking slightly worse for wear

She was famed for being the wild child of fashion in the 90s and it seems Kate Moss still loves a good party.

The supermodel cut loose at the British Fashion Awards in London on Monday night before heading on to a bash in honour of W magazine's style director, Edward Enninful, but the 40-year-old star was clearly struggling to stay awake after all the fun.

The mother-of-one - who is married to The Kills rocker Jamie Hince and has curbed her partying in recent years - was pictured looking slightly worse for wear in the back of a taxi as she called it a night.

Kate was clutching a bottle of water and running her hands through her hair as she got settled in the back seat of the car.

And it's no wonder the blonde beauty seemed tired after attending two of the biggest fashion events of the year in one night.

After making a discreet appearance at the star-studded BFAs, she was on great form at the after party held at the Hotel Cafe Royal's Oscar Wilde Bar, co-hosting the bash with her BFF Naomi and mingling with the likes of Mario Testino and Nicole Scherzinger.

Earlier in the evening, Kate skipped the red carpet altogether, arriving at the London Coliseum with little fanfare in a black, red and white Alexander McQueen dress which showed off her slender legs.

The fashion icon showed that dressing simply yet effectively is one of her biggest talents, as she rocked her brightly patterned mini-dress with little else, wearing just a black fur stole over her shoulder.

The garment, which included billowing batwing sleeves, invoked a 1960s vibe and she added to this by wearing her blonde hair coiffed into a retro bouffant style.

She finished her classy look with black pointed court shoes and dangling, glitzy silver earrings.

And, although she's known for being one of the most beautiful women in the world as a top model, she fancied accentuating her features with heavy make-up, sporting smoky eyeshadow on her eyes and wearing a golden glowy blusher on her cheekbones.

Despite her low-key entrance, Kate made sure she was in the press room later on to support her good friend, fashion designer Sarah Burton, who picked up the Red Carpet Designer award for Alexander McQueen.

It was a working night for her, too, as she went up on stage during the awards ceremony to give Burton her prestigious prize.

Kate led the model contingent on the night, as the likes of Erin O'Connor, Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell and Lily Donaldson were also in attendance.

Naomi Campbell looked a knockout in her figure-hugging black floor-length gown with intricately strappy detail across the top.

The striking dress flowed down her curves in the most flawless of ways, as she showed her model credentials on the red carpet.

Meanwhile Victoria's Secret model Lily Donaldson also wore a floor-skimming black number, but a sleeveless one in sheer lace that gave onlookers a glimpse of her lofty, slender physique.

Erin and Karolina wowed in their maxi dresses in varying shades of coral, each of them groomed to the highest of high standards.

Erin in particular looked gorgeous as she allowed her pure alabaster skin glow against the pale peachy tone of her dress.

Emma Watson more than proved that she fits in with the most stylish personalities as she made an appearance at the event.

The 24-year-old actress wowed on the red carpet at the London Coliseum in a striking monochrome outfit.

Although she barely showed her skin, covering up in a full-length white wide-legged jumpsuit and a black tuxedo jacket, the Harry Potter star showed that less really can be more.

The brunette beauty teamed her Misha Nonoo jumpsuit and stunning black Dior jacket with Christian Louboutin shoes and a quirky printed Anya Hindmarch clutch bag.

Adding a touch of uniqueness to her slick look, she pushed the sleeves of her jacket up to her elbows.

And, while at first glance it seemed as though the deep V-neckline of the item could afford onlookers a glimpse of her cleavage, when she moved around it was clear to see she was covered up by the jumpsuit underneath.

Emma's black and white outfit (a favoured colour combination of hers) made her stand out against the green backdrop on the red carpet, while allowing her natural beauty to shine through.

She kept her make-up simple, opting for just a slick of ravishing red lipstick, while styling her glossy locks in a side-swept style, curls falling over one shoulder.

Rocking a similar vibe to Emma on the night was Rihanna, who also opted for a tuxedo-style jacket on the red carpet.

However, the 26-year-old chose to wear it without anything on underneath, flashing her ample cleavage and long legs to full effect.

The international hitmaker broke the fundamental rules of fashion - that one shows just their legs or their chest - by covering up in just the Stella McCartney item for the occasion.

The beautiful superstar teamed her barely-there look with sheer black tights and strappy black heeled sandals, adding a touch of glitz with her chunky silver choker.

She complemented her necklace with shining silver items of jewellery on her hands, while carrying a small box clutch with a tassle on the side.

Famous for her ever-changing hairstyles, Rihanna kept it simple with her locks piled up high on her head in a large bun, allowing her to show off her striking facial features.

Also getting plenty of attention at the event were David and Victoria Beckham, who made a welcome addition to the showbiz guest list at the annual awards ceremony.

Keeping their hands locked together as they posed for snaps, the lovely duo seemed intent on enjoying themselves after they attended the London Evening Standard awards together the night before.

Victoria looked lovely yet low-key in a black and white maxi skirt from her own eponymous collection, with a black jumper and a silver chain belt, while her husband opted for yet another smart suit.

Also in attendance at the fashion event were the likes of best pals, models Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner, who rocked up in matching ensembles.

Cara, 22, who is up for Best Model, against her pals, Jourdan Dunn and Sam Rollin, pulled out all the stops for the prestigious affair.

She wore a gold floor-length gown which had black panelling on the side, and a sexy thigh-split running down one leg.

She topped off her look with Burberry strappy black heels and carried a cute clutch bag in one hand.

Wearing her brunette locks sleek and straight and over one shoulder, she paid close attention to her eyes, keeping them smoky and sexy.

Meanwhile, Kendall, 19, wore a slim-leg jumpsuit which had a leg-lengthening black stripe down one side.

She teamed the number with mesh heels and added a slick of red lipstick into the mix.

Her long brunette tresses were down and sleek and cut into pretty layers which framed her face perfectly.

Cara was later seen inside the venue, mingling with her good friend Rihanna, and the pair looked more than a bit tactile.

Hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, for the second year in a row, the awards are set to honour those who have greatly impacted the fashion industry.

The event boasted a guestlist of London's finest dressed and turning heads was Poppy Delevingne who came along to support her supermodel sister.

Poppy brought the glamour on the night with a plunging black embellished dress which had mesh panels near the hem and covered a pair of high-waisted briefs.

She carried a clutch bag in the shape of a cat and topped off her look with an elegant pair of heels.

Pop singer Ellie Goulding looked incredible in a silver brocade strapless dress which had white panels near the top.
