Helena Christensen showcases her supermodel legs in pretty wrap dress as she holds hands with boyfriend Paul Banks during leisurely NYC stroll

She may have been off duty, but Helen Christensen couldn't hide her model looks during a relaxed New York stroll on Tuesday.

The 46-year-old looked pretty in a printed wrap dress as she ambled around her home city with boyfriend Paul Banks, 37.

Helena and the Interpol musician, who have been dating for seven years, held hands as they made the most of their day off together.

The Danish beauty made the most of the city sunshine in a blue wrap dress in a bold patchwork print.

Falling above the knee, the summery choice made the most of Helena's long tanned legs, with the star ditching the heels in favour of some comfy flip flops.

A navy and brown shoulder bag and sunglasses finished off her look, while the model swept her hair back into a top knot.

Paul matched his long-term love's relaxed style in tracksuit trousers and an army print t-shirt, with the musician hiding behind a baseball cap.

The couple held hands as they walked about their NYC neighbourhood and stopped for a takeout coffee.

Though she's been with her partner since 2008, Helena has shared custody of her 15-year-old son Mingus with Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus since 2003, after they spent five years together.

Speaking to the Telegraph this month, Helena revealed that she and Norman have worked hard to keep their son grounded despite their jetset lifestyles.

'I'm not strict,' she admits of her parenting style. 'I would say it's a mix of old-fashioned values - discipline, love, respect, loyalty and honesty - but they're definitely mixed in with a very progressive form of upbringing.'

Adding that her teenager is at the 'cocky stage', she says that Mingus 'has definitely taught me how deeply uncool I am. He's like: "I'm going to ask you something, Mum, but please promise me you won't turn it into one of your lessons about life - I'm doing quite well without them.'''
