What's happened Olivia? Ms Palermo ditches the catwalk style for revealing WAG-esque gown

We are more used to seeing actress Olivia Palermo clad in demure Oscar De La Renta or Prada.

But at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2013 charity event in Cannes on Thursday it seems the actress may have been dressed by a stylist whose love of leopard print overshadowed everything else - even common sense.

The 27-year-old, who shot to fame in MTV's The City, swapped her much lauded chic style for a WAG style look at the charity event.

With the one shouldered disaster hanging off her tiny frame the pretty brunette beamed on the red carpet.

Olivia opted to show off her midriff and her toned legs in the dress, which would probably be more suited to a WAG than a sleek A-lister.

She may not have looked a million dollars but it didn't stop those generous celebrities from raising an amazing $32.3m at the star-studded event which was co-hosted by Harvey Weinstein and designer Kenneth Cole.

Even more impressively, this was more than double the $14.2m earned at last year's fundraiser.

The auction brochure for the gala held at the five-star Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France said Leo DiCaprio and the winning bidder will be among the first 1,000 people to leave the planet on the Virgin Galactic flight.

After winning, Monaco based Russian estate agent Vasily Klyukin, 37, said: 'I want to be a bit daring. I will have to give up smoking now for sure!'

The amfAR gala is the biggest fundraising event at the world's largest film festival, with the first ever benefit hosted by screen legend by Elizabeth Taylor.

Meanwhile Olivia has done her own bit for charity and launched a Fairtrade accessories line with the Maasai Pikolinos Project to help change the lives of hundreds of women.

The shoe and handbag collection has been created by women from the Maasai community of Kenya, providing them with jobs and offering support to one of the most endangered tribes.
