She's had a rough few days after a nasty car accident on Sunday landed her in the hospital.

But it appears things are looking up for Kendra Wilkinson as she was snapped grinning with her husband Hank Baskett as the pair left the Department of Motor Vehicles on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old and her husband were seen smiling as they walked out of the building hand-in-hand, no doubt relieved to have finally reported her accident, which left her with minor injuries.

Kendra was dressed down in figure-hugging grey tracksuit pants and a loose-fitting Lakers sweater teamed with white trainers.

She scraped her blonde hair back into a ponytail and shielded her eyes with round retro sunglasses.

Hank, meanwhile looked strapping in baggy blue jeans and a structured cream jacket paired with white trainers.

On Tuesday, photographs emerged showing the wreckage of Kendra's black Audi following the collision in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles.

The sports car's bonnet was badly damaged having crashed into another car, which also suffered major dents and breakage.

A police car and tow truck waited by the side of the road while a man examined the silver car in the photograph.

Earlier on Wednesday, Kendra and Hank took their three-year-old son Hank Baskett IV (Hank Jr.) to the children's playground in Calabasas.

The former Playmate looked in a pensive mood and was dressed down in a loose-fitted pale pink shirt and charcoal grey yoga pants, teamed with a casual pair of tan flip flops.

Her wavy blonde locks were pulled back into a loose ponytail, revealing her au natural look as she opted out of wearing make-up for the day.

The men in Kendra's life also went casual, sporting cotton tees, athletic shorts, and gym shoes, as they attempted to enjoy the sunny Los Angeles weather.

At one point, little Hank took off his shoes for a ride on his 30-year-old father's shoulders, leaving the Girls Next Door alum tending to his sneakers, a baseball cap, and a water bottle.

The family has certainly had a rough few days, as Kendra - who recently quit from celebrity diving show Splash - was taken to hospital following a bad car accident on Sunday where she luckily suffered only minor injuries.

The former Playboy model was taken to Providence Tarzana Medical Centre in Los Angeles following what is described by TMZ as a 'nasty head-on crash.'

Meanwhile, police told the website that the person in the car Kendra hit has 'neck and back injuries.'

TMZ allege that the initial investigation shows Kendra 'turned left in front of a car that had the right of way.'

Insiders told UsMagazine.com the blonde beauty was 'in shock and really sore' following the accident.

But her injuries were not determined to be serious, and doctors could not find any broken bones or other damage.

Another source added: 'She was taken in earlier. She was discharged already.'

It is thought that the star was travelling alone at the time of the incident.

Kendra thanked fans for their concern via her Twitter page on Monday.

'Thank you for all well wishes. Just really reminded me how fragile life really is and how important love really is,' she wrote.

The drama hasn't been limited to the past few days, but instead the past few weeks for the mother-of-one, who was forced to bow out of ABC's celebrity diving show Splash earlier this month after she couldn't bring herself to make a dive off a 23-foot platform.

Apologising to her army of fans via her Twitter page at the time, she said: 'Big mistake signing up for the show. Sorry I let you all down.'

In a statement, she added: 'I'm so sorry, everybody. It's bittersweet. One thing I don't do is quit. This is the first time in my life I've quit something. This will haunt me for the rest of my life.'

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Kendra Wilkinson for comment regarding her hospitalisation last weekend but has yet to receive a response.
