Fitness fanatic Chloe displays ripped abs in latest snap... after dad Richard Madeley came to her defence following criticism over revealing Instagram selfies

Last month Richard Madeley stepped in to defend his daughter Chloe's steady stream of gym selfies posted on social media.

And Chloe, 27, clearly isn't letting critics get her down as she took to Instagram on Wednesday to share yet another snap of her ripped physique.

The picture showed a make-up free Chloe in a sports bra and shorts as Chloe continues to document her fitness progress.

Just last month former This Morning presenter Richard tweeted his pride over his daughter's fitness prowess, saying that she 'eats like a horse and trains like an Olympian.'

The 59-year-old added: 'I am VERY proud of her. Her critics have zero conception of what she stands for.'

Chloe's enviable body has garnered much attention over recent months, prompting professional motormouth Katie Hopkins to urge Richard to take action.

Earlier this year, Katie launched a vicious attack on Chloe on Twitter, writing: 'B**ody hell @richardm56 - have a word with your daughter love. Tell her to put it away, or put some clothes on it.'

Chloe later told her followers: 'You know you're doing life right when Katie Hopkins is taking swipes at you. If my sole impact on this world was p**sing her off, I'm happy.'

The proud father's defence came after Chloe showed off her new 'curvy' figure in a post-gym selfie.

The star, who now boasts her own online fitness empire to help motivate others, says she's gained about half a stone since returning from her romantic holiday to Dubai with her rugby player boyfriend James Haskell.

She has now opened up about why she decided to give herself a break, revealing it wasn't healthy to be training so hard all year round.

'My body was telling me, in very loud and very clear ways, that it was ready for a break', she told The Mirror.

'I haven’t trained properly or counted a single calorie in two weeks, I have gained weight, and I am ready to ease myself back into training.'
