Their on/off relationship was notoriously troubled.

But it would seem Danniella Westbrook, 41, and her ex-fiancé Tom Richards, 25, have once again made amends after they were spotted together in Birmingham on Wednesday.

The pair split on bad terms in January but Danniella was met by her ex when she touched down at East Midlands airport after flying home from Ibiza.

The mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter was pictured loitering at the airport prior to Danniella's arrival, but was nowhere to be seen when the former EastEnders star emerged from baggage collection.

The actress, who had previously told her Twitter followers that she would be returning to the UK in October, was then spotted flying solo outside the airport as she waited for a cab.

However, sometime later she and Tommy - both wearing the same outfits as before - were pictured together at a nearby petrol station where they picked up a hefty supply of snacks.

Tom appeared to be in good spirits as they left the shop, with him trailing behind as they made their way outside.

Danniella put comfort first when it came to her outfit choice for the flight home, teaming a number of layered tops with jeans and trainers.

She wore her bright blonde hair scraped back off her face in a headband which she had fastened into a bow and wore thick-rimmed glasses as she navigated her way through the airport.

Tom didn't make too much of an effort ahead of their reunion either.

The towering 25-year-old teamed a black, short-sleeved sweat shirt with jogging bottoms, trainers and a snap back for their meet.

MailOnline has contacted Danniella's rep for comment.

In June Danniella appeared on This Morning to talk about her recent struggles and claimed that Tom had put her and her family through a 'difficult time'.

During the conversation with show hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, the actress said: 'Myself and my kids have been through quite a tough time with my ex-partner.

'It always seems everyone has their say and me and my kids suffer because I've made a bad choice in my relationship.'

'For me personally, I've made a lot of mistakes,' she added.

She also told the Sunday People that their messy break-up had left her wanting to kill herself with cocaine binges.

She told the newspaper in June: 'I couldn't get Tom out of my life and thought the easiest way out was killing myself. That's why I used cocaine.'

Elaborating on her momentary relapse, she added: 'I was medicating myself. It has always been my drug of choice. I was using two to three grams a day, which was too much.

'It wasn't as much as I was using when I was younger. But it was enough to make my body shut down. That's what I wanted to happen. It nearly worked. I wanted to die.'

Tom was arrested in April for allegedly assaulting and harassing her.

Detained in his home city of Swansea, and after being held in a cell for 11 hours, the cage fighter was bailed as police continued their investigation, but no charges were eventually brought.

His arrest followed claims by Danniella on social media that he had been violent towards her, posting a photograph on Twitter of her bruised hand. He strenuously denied the allegations.

Speaking about the arrest on This Morning, the British actress said: 'The police have dropped the charges which I've now appealed against, and he can have his say but I'm not allowed to have mine.'

In the days before her This Morning appearance Danniella had been enjoying a romantic holiday with 20-year-old Jude Moore, although it would seem the relationship has since fizzled.

Prior to that she had spent the night at the Kensington Close Hotel where Tom was staying in preparation for his MMA fight the following day.
