Amy Winehouse's former fiancé Reg Traviss caught up in violent brawl outside London nightclub

Reg Traviss, the fiance of the late Amy Winehouse, appeared to be caught up in an altercation outside of the Groucho Club in London's Soho in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Leaving the Select Models Christmas party, the 38-year-old filmmaker looked to have found himself in a scrap with another male as he exited the hotspot.

The Anti-Social director offset his gentlemanly tuxedo with his riled demeanor as pictures capture him grappling with an unknown male in the Dean Street incident.

When contacted by MailOnline Metropolitan Police confirmed that no arrests were made.

MailOnline have also reached out for comment from Reg and is awaiting response; the Groucho nightclub also refused to comment.

A friend of the British star looked as though he was attempting to break up the pair as he kept a firm grip on Reg during the fracas.

Reg was seen swinging his arms and legs around on the city street with an apparently enraged expression on his face.

Guests at the swanky soiree included singer Pixie Lott and her boyfriend Oliver Cheshire who made a swift exit but appeared to have no involvement with the group.

Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing similarly appeared to avoid the party-goers who stood watching the incident outside of the venue.

Reg is arguably best-known for his engagement to iconic singer Amy Winehouse, who passed away from alcohol poisoning in 2011.

The couple dated for two years, with Amy's father Mitch Winehouse claiming earlier this summer that the two had been hoping to start a family together.

'She was with Reg, they were going to get married,' the 63-year-old told Australia's Weekend Sunrise. He then added: 'I shouldn’t tell you this but she thought she was pregnant at some stage. They were going to get married.'

Reg has also been linked to Cilla actress Sheridan Smith after photos emerged of the duo kissing outside of his flat in September 2012.

Less than a year after Amy's death, Traviss was arrested on suspicion of rape, pleading not guilty to raping a woman on New Year's Eve 2011.

Southwark Crown Court heard the victim alleged that she had been drinking on a night out and remembered Traviss having sex with her, but the film director said the pair had consensual sex.

A jury acquitted him of all charges in December 2012.
