Directions to 27 Wood End, Hebden Bridge

Due to the lack of suitable office accommodation in Hebden Bridge, we are currently using our off-road, front room as our counselling-coaching clinic.

Here are some (incomplete!) directions for finding our home, which we currently use for counselling and coaching sessions. The main deficiency with these directions is that they assume you will be approaching our home by travelling UP Keighley Road, from Hebden Bridge (but you might be coming down!)

Our address is 27, Wood End, Keighley Road, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8HJ.

Three slight problems with finding me:

1. Wood End is a section of Keighley Road, not a separate road.

2. Wood End is a block of terraced houses, on the left-hand side of Keighley Road (as you come up Keighley Road from Hebden Bridge), beginning a few yards past the turnoff for Lees Road, which is on the left. Our block (called Wood End) is numbered out of sequence, so number 27 is actually the first house on the block, followed by 29, then 1, 3, 5, etc., all the way up to 25.

And:

3. If you are driving, and using satnav, as you drive up Keighley Road, from Hebden Bridge, you will reach a set of traffic lights just before the left turn for Lees Road/Winsor Road, and your satnav is likely to tell you to turn left into Lees Road. Don't follow that direction, as it will lead you to the back of our house, and there is no back door! Stay on Keighley Road..

At this point, as you drive through the traffic lights, you will see the sign on the Nutclough Tavern, on your right. The housing on the left is called 'Nutclough' (pronounced Nut-cluff) - six or eight houses, ending with 49 Nutclough. Then there is a short break in the housing, and when the housing begins again, the very first house is ours - 27 Wood End. Phew! (The block is numbered out of sequence, beginning 27, 29, then 1, 3, 5, etc, all the way up to 25, then a second 25!!!)
