Leggy Emma Stone pulls out all the stops in a daring thigh-split plunging gown as she debuts new dark locks at the Met Gala

She recently dyed her hair dark brown to portray 1970s tennis champ Billie Jean King in upcoming film Battle Of The Sexes.

And leggy Emma Stone looked even more strikingly different at the Met Gala in New York City on Monday where she pulled out all the stops in a daring plunging gown with a soaring thigh-high split.

The 27-year-old showed off her deep brunette locks and a golden tan as she sported a Grecian inspired white gown with lace-up silver corset.

The Oscar-nominated star revealed a bit of cleavage in the low-cut flowing dress, which also included a thigh high slit.

Her seemingly endless legs were on display as her Prada number opened along one side while she walked the red carpet.

As she made her way up the famous steps, the long flowing train followed behind the starlet in a royal fashion.

Her recently debuted dark tresses matched the tone of the ensemble perfectly and she oozed radiance with a dark eyeliner for a dramatic look.

The make-up free star teamed the midnight blue wool with a black sweater and matching leather ankle boots for an upgraded look to her low-key style.

Stone headed to the luxury resort as she prepared for what Vogue editor André Leon Talley calls the 'Super Bowl of fashion.' 

This year's theme of the ball - which is held every first Monday in May - is 'Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.

Alongside Taylor Swift, the Gala was hosted by Anna Wintour, and cochairs Idris Elba and Jonathan Ive.
