Those fans — and of course, a brand new generation — are going to find a lot to love about World of Final Fantasy! Here’s a brand new E3 trailer that shows off the adorably familiar characters in the world of Grymoire!
In World of Final Fantasy, players lead a pair of twins, Reynn and Lann, through the land of Grymoire on a search to rediscover their lost memories. Along the way, they’ll come across many familiar faces and places, changes sizes from Jiant tall to Lilikin small, and stack to attack! Longtime fans will be reunited with legendary heroes, and fight using a new strategic take on the Active Time Battle system.
Throughout their adventure, players will collect, raise and battle adorable beings of classic Final Fantasy lore including the cactuar, chocobo and behemoth to create customizable, strategic tower combinations to take on the most challenging of opponents.
World of Final Fantasy comes out October 25th for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita!

Like, it’s not a crazy production. Just good models, great lighting, and some solid materials and voila! A beautiful current gen game that seems to capture a lot of classic style RPG design without ACTUALLY being a throwback design (a la Bravely Default or I Am Setsuna). I like seeing RPGs like this coming out of Square… I just wish there were more new IPs coming out of the company instead of just FF and Dragon Quest. I miss the days when you’d surprise everyone with a Threads of Fate or a Parasite Eve or a Brave Fencer Musashi. Still, current Final Fantasy is more than back on track and everything looks super promising! The only thing stopping me from nabbing this is the fact that it’s ONE MONTH after FFXV and landing in the SAME MONTH as Dragon Quest Builders; you’re KILLING ME, Square!
Really looks lovely though. I will try and get to it as soon after launch as I can!

I was really looking forward to FFXV, which I’ve already pre-ordered; now after watching this video I am also starting to really look forward to World of FF! I wasn’t sure what to think before but man, you guys are doing a good job of selling me on it now. The game looks great, fun and cute all at the same time. Boy, it’s looking like this fall is going to be FF-mania right now! And then FFXII HD coming up sometime next year; I have to say, SE seems like they’re at least starting to pull it together with the FF series for the first time in awhile. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed some of the stuff that others have shunned like most of the FFXIII series; but this is the first time I’ve been really excited for FF games well before release in quite awhile, with the exception of FFX / X-2 HD.

I’m going to be purchasing both the the Vita and PS4 version of World of Final Fantasy and had two questions.
1. Will the game support cross-save with the two versions like FFX/X-2 HD?
2. Do you need to pre-order both versions to unlock the Sephiroth summon for each, or will unlocking Sephiroth on one console unlock him on the other as well?
