She’s preparing to walk down the aisle for the third time following a whirlwind romance and subsequent engagement to Australian billionaire James Packer.

But wedding plans were put on hold as Mariah Carey enjoyed a night without her new fiancé at upmarket Beverly Hills restaurant Mr. Chow on Tuesday evening.

Following her late night antics with James in a Capri nightclub just two weeks ago it was a comparatively subdued night for the songstress, but she ensured she was centre of attention by sporting an edgy leather dress.

The snug fitting outfit served to accentuate her voluptuous figure as she made her way inside, pausing only to sign autographs for lingering fans.

An off-the-shoulder detail gave Mariah the opportunity to bare some skin, while fishnet tights and distinctive studded heels gave the overall ensemble a raunchy flourish.

The 46-year old kept her eyes shielded behind a pair of heavily tinted sunglasses on the night, and the broad smile she offered onlookers as she made her way inside the popular eatery suggested spirits were high.

The smitten pair became engaged in January after a whirlwind romance, having been together for less than a year.

Mariah and James are understood to be marrying later this year, however, neither have publicly confirmed a date or location.

The pop diva recently revealing she has her wedding dress picked out already and is very much in the planning stages.

'We're getting it together, darling. You know what? It takes time. The dress and the whole thing,' she admitted to E! News.

While she has yet to announce a date, Mariah does says that their hectic schedules have played a part in their planning.

'I'm working and he's working and you know, everybody puts so much pressure,' she said.
