Liam Neeson, 64, is back to his best in smart suit at Hunt For The Wilderpeople screening... after revealing reasons for drastic weight loss

He drastically slimmed down to film Martin Scorcese's Silence last year, explaining that he had dropped 20lbs for the role.  

But Liam Neeson, 64, looked rejuvenated as he made a guest appearance at the Hunt For The Wilderpeople gala screening at London's Picturehouse Central, on Tuesday.

The Taken star looked healthy and dapper as he joined Sam Neill, 68, and the film's other stars on the red carpet.

The popular Irish actor wore a dark jacket and trouser combo with a black patterned shirt and a pair of stylish suede shoes.

He placed an arm around Neill, who dressed in a black suit with a bold red tie, and the pair smiled for the cameras.

The movie, focuses on the story of a national manhunt is ordered for a rebellious kid and his foster uncle who go missing in the wild New Zealand bush.

Also in attendance at the screening were Hannah Tointon and her boyfriend, Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas.

Last year, pictures showing Neeson looking gaunt sparked concern among fans, however a spokesperson for the star moved to reassure them that he was in fine health.

They said: 'He has never been healthier. He has just completed work on one film and starts another in September.'

Ahead of turning 63 last June, Liam said: 'My birthday is a touchy subject. I’m going to be 63 — nobody wants to be 63! I’m getting old.

'What I want more than anything is for it to be ignored. I just hate it and it makes me feel vulnerable. It’s such a private thing — the day you were born, the day you came out of your mother’s womb.'
