Donald Trump puts Mike Pence in charge of transition and appoints Ivanka to team

Donald Trump has organized his first staff-shakeup before he even takes office, ousting New Jersey governor Chris Christie as head of his presidential transition and appointing running mate Mike Pence (bottom right) to chair the effort. 'Together this outstanding group of advisors, led by Vice President-elect Mike Pence, will build on the initial work done under the leadership of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to help prepare a transformative government ready to lead from day one,' Trump said in a statement announcing the change. Christie is to stay on as a vice chair. He is joined by defeated rival Dr. Ben Carson, Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, who traveled with Trump and advises on national security, and Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions. Others who will guide the transition as part of a newly announced executive committee reveal Trump is creating somewhat of a dynasty. Eldest daughter Ivanka (center at Trump Tower today) her husband Jared Kushner (top right) and sons Eric Trump, top left, and Don Jr, bottom left will be on board the team.

Donald Trump brushes off question on when he will appoint special prosecutor for Clinton

Donald Trump raised doubts over his pledge to appoint a special prosecutor to go after Hillary Clinton on Friday by ducking a question about the issue in a Wall Street Journal interview. Trump carried out a round of interviews on Friday including (top) with Lesley Stahl of 60 minutes. He brushed aside a question about a special prosecutor when asked by the newspaper - raising questions over whether such a probe will happen. It could lead to Clinton (bottom left) and her entourage (including Huma Abedin, bottom right) escaping the full-scale investigation he pledged. The promise that she 'would be in jail' energized his supporters who chanted ' lock her up' at his rallies.

Advisors to Hillary Clinton's are putting FBI Director James Comey on top of the list for what caused her to lose the election to Donald Trump in a stunning upset.

Trump will consider 'amending' Obamacare NOT repealing it after plea from Obama himself

President-elect Trump used his first interview since being winning the election to announce he may not repeal entirely Obamacare after the current president asked him to keep some parts. 'Either Obamacare will be amended, or repealed and replaced,' Trump told the Wall Street Journal. 'I told him I will look at his suggestions, and out of respect, I will do that.' Trump's repeated attacks on the law were a central focus of his campaign, during which he used it to needle rival Hillary Clinton as insurance premiums rose for some enrollees, especially in battleground states. The entire First Family Elect also sat down for an interview with 60 Minutes to be aired on Sunday evening.

Trump was remarkably effective at harnessing social media power to influence opinions, and researchers will study Trump's campaign tactics for years to come, one academic claims.

Huma Abedin weeps openly as she returns to Clinton campaign headquarters

Hillary Clinton's closest aide wept as she went back to the Brooklyn headquarters of the doomed bid for the presidency. The future for Abedin, 40, is unclear and her marriage is over. The aide has worked for nobody except Clinton since she was an intern for the then First Lady in Bill Clinton's White House. Throughout the campaign she was at her boss's side - but then with less than two weeks to go until polling day the FBI explosively revealed they were looking at 650,000 of her emails found on her pervert ex-husband Anthony Weiner's laptop. He is being investigated for sexting a 15-year-old. The revelation is being blamed by Clinton aides for - at least in part - costing them the campaign. Abedin, 40, has seen her marriage collapse during the campaign when Weiner was caught sexting an adult, and was herself under FBI investigation for her handling of classified material.

Celebrities who promised to leave America if Trump won the election decide to stay

It is the first broken promise of the incoming Trump administration - and he didn't even make it. Celebrities who had said they would quit America if he won have abandoned their promises before President-elect Trump is even inaugurated. Some dismissed what they pledged as a 'joke' and others simply went to ground when asked by DailyMail.com when they were packing up and heading to Canada or other countries. NEW Donald Trump has revealed he will not sue the women who accused him of sexual assault, going back on what he said during the election campaign. The Donald had sworn to take action against the twelve women who launched a litany of allegations against him over the closing weeks of the race. But on Friday, it was revealed the President-elect will not go after his accusers. The change of heart came hours after one of the women demanded Trump retract claims where he called them liars. 'I would like Mr. Trump to retract his statements about me and others calling us liars and stating that what we said was fiction,' Summer Zervos (right) said in a statement on Friday.

Young Hispanic would-be illegals waiting at Tijuana said they would give up because they feared that being caught would affect their families north of the border - suggesting that they too were living in the U.S. illegally.
