The family of Prince Harry's girlfriend, Meghan Markle, have shared a never-before-seen family photos of the possible future princess posing in dungarees when she was just 14 years old.

But the photo didn't come without a playful warning to the Prince.

In an exclusive interview with the actress' older brother Thomas Markle and his 24-year-old son Tyler said Prince Harry had best not put a foot out of line with his new love because her very protective – and very burly – brother and nephew are watching out for her.

Thomas warned that if the party-loving prince, who is famous for his fondness of a drink or two, hurts their beloved 'Megs', he would have Tyler to deal with.

The father and son also gave some interesting revelations, including that Meghan is great with children.

Tyler, who spent many happy childhood years with Meghan, says the fun-loving star – who is also a United Nations humanitarian – would make the ideal aunt for his potential future cousins-in-law, three-year-old Prince George and one-year-old Princess Charlotte.

He predicts she'll get on especially well with the rambunctious future king, who adores feeding the ducks in the park near the Kensington Palace home he shares with Uncle Harry.

'She used to like to take us to the duck park,' recalls Tyler. 'We would feed the ducks and run to the park when she babysat [me and my brother Thomas].'

Meghan's family says that if Prince Harry was to propose to her, he would have to come and meet the Markle family in their hometown of Grants Pass, Oregon.

As rumors hit fever pitch that Harry, 32, is set to propose to the 35-year-old actress, who shot to fame as paralegal Rachel Zane on hit TV show Suits, the Markle men warn there's still one all-important step he'll need to take before he presents Meghan with a diamond ring.

'He'd have to come over and hang with us for a little bit,' says Thomas. Fun-loving Tyler, a partner in a flooring company who shares his aunt's dark good looks, enthusiastically adds, 'We'd take him jet-skiing, we live right on the river.'

The prince has also been officially invited to have his bachelor party in Grants Pass, as long as he can keep up with fun-loving the locals!

The prince had fun blowing bubbles with youngsters in national dress, who were entertained by clowns and stilt-walkers at the Colours of Charity event in Antigua

The prince arrived at the official residence of the Governor General - the Queen's representative in Antigua and Barbuda - for the Colours of Charity event.

And his blushes were spared when organizers of the event declared that his romance with Meghan was off limits.

Those in charge of the event told young people not to mention his new girlfriend when he turned up.

Thomas and Tyler also wanted to set the record straight about Meghan's other sibling, Samantha Grant.

Grant has claimed that Meghan is nothing but a 'social climber' who turned her back on the Markle family and hasn't spoken to her since she became wheelchair-bound in 2008 with Multiple Sclerosis.

Thomas was 14 when his half-sister arrived, and has always looked out for her.

'Why would anybody want to try to ruin something for someone who has achieved so much, and who is in love. Why would you want to put a dampener on that?' says Thomas, who remained close with his sister until she moved to Toronto to begin filming Suits.

On Sunday, the actress was spotted back on the television set in Toronto, Canada, after her swift stop-off in the UK where she was seen in Kensington, London.

'Meg's always focused on furthering her own life experiences and her career. They never had a relationship to speak of – she probably hasn't seen Meghan in 30 years!

'Her wheelchair has nothing to do with it. She's just making people feel sorry for her. Nobody even talks to her - not even her own mother.'

Thomas and Tyler chose to set the record straight for their sister, who is bound by the royal protocol of not commenting on private issues in the press as long as she is dating the fifth in line to the throne.

'[She said] something about Megs not going over well with the royal family and that Prince Harry doesn't know what he's getting himself in for,' says Thomas.

'It's just not nice. You couldn't ask for a more proper, well spoken person than Meg, she has everything a good woman should have.'

While Samantha slammed Meghan as being too hungry for the spotlight, Thomas responds that the fact that she's famous is a bonus for Prince Harry, who has previously admitted he was worried he'd never find a woman who could live her life in the public eye.

'If that's one of his concerns, it shouldn't be. She's been behind the camera for 15 years,' he says.

Her family says she was interested in acting from a very young age. Meghan is pictured as Rachel Zane in Suits

Meghan's family has said that they are happy that she found the world's most eligible bachelor. Meghan is pictured during a scene from Suits

'She was interested in acting from a very young age. Our parents [Thomas Markle and makeup artist Doria Ragland] met on the set of General Hospital.'

The 50-year-old says he's thrilled that she's found love with the world's most eligible bachelor.

'She needed someone who could keep up with her. I think he fits the bill!' he says with a laugh.

'But I have to be the older brother and say, "Take good care of her, or I'm going to have to have my son come and visit you!"'

Tyler, who remembers Meghan babysitting him as a child, chimes in: 'Everyone deserves to be happy. It doesn't matter if it's with him or any other random person in the world.

'As long as he treated her well and respected her, and want to be part of the family, that would be important.'

Now, the Markle men are faced with the very real prospect that they could soon be traveling to London to watch their Megs marry into the British Monarchy – a daunting prospect for some.

But not for Tyler, who can't wait for what is sure to be the biggest party in England since Prince William married the Duchess of Cambridge.

'I can absolutely picture a royal wedding happening to Meghan. She's worked so hard to get to where she is now, and to be able to meet someone who is compatible with her… this is every girl's dream. Who wouldn't want that?' he says.
