And in a preview clip for Sunday's upcoming episode of Mariah's World, Mariah Carey is seen nearly breaking down as she announces Prince's passing to concertgoers.

The E! reality show will revisit the day the 46-year-old singer-songwriter admitted to fans that she wasn't sure if she'd be able to continue her performance.

'I didn't know if I was gonna be able to make it through this show tonight,' the We Belong Together songstress began.

'We lost one of the greatest, most incredible geniuses that we've ever had in music.'

Mariah explained that her decision to ultimately take the stage stemmed from knowing that Prince would have encouraged her to do so, rather than wallow.
