North Korea said it is 'carefully examining' a plan to strike the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam with missiles, just hours after President Donald Trump told the country that any threat to the U.S. would be met with 'fire and fury.' A spokesman for the Korean People's Army, in a statement carried by the North's state-run KCNA news agency, said Wednesday the strike plan will be 'put into practice in a multi-current and consecutive way any moment' once leader Kim Jong Un makes a decision. The statement from the North comes after Trump told the country's leader Tuesday that additional threats of violence against the U.S. 'will be met with fire and the fury like the world has never seen.' 'He has been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said they will be met with the fire and fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before,' Trump added in remarks at the top of an unrelated meeting.

A BBC worker, who was wearing headphones and slumped in his chair, was spotted watching the woman remove her bra in the raunchy movie scene. Ms Raworth, 49, was presenting a live piece on the England cricket team's victory over South Africa, but eagle-eyed viewers noticed the screen over her shoulder. Around 3.8million viewers watched the show and one person tweeted: '@BBCNews why is there a porn video playing behind one of your news anchors during a report?' The actress was wearing a black jumper while standing over a man during the clip which could be seen on Monday evening. In what is believed to be an action movie, she then removed her bra to reveal her breasts during the striptease.
The Terminator? No, it's a British soldier of the future: New 'close combat sensor system' uses cameras, lasers and audio to tell troops where the enemy is
Soon British soldiers will be seeing their enemies like the Terminator does, as the Army brings in a new system to feed information back to the soldier, his comrades and headquarters. Looking down the high-tech sights of their rifles, they will be able to tell whether they are facing friend or foe and where the enemy is, even if they can't see them. The soldier's system will feed back information to commanders from the battlefield so they can both track and guide their troops. Experts in the Ministry of Defence's science laboratory said this will help ensure the troops are not targeted by friendly fire. The kit is due to be ready for testing in simulated combat by around 2020. Left, the new kit, versus right, the current kit. Inset top, what the Terminator sees, and bottom, Arnold Schwarzenegger in the film.

With a ciggie in one hand, a cocktail in the other and hugging a Corbyn supporter, meet our ex-PM David Cameron in full chillaxing mode
David Cameron wasn’t worried about taking on more than he could handle as he balanced a cigarette, a drink and a rather enthusiastic Jeremy Corbyn fan all at the same time (left). In fact Mr Cameron looked perfectly at ease as he juggled all three as he attended the upmarket Wilderness Festival near his Oxforshire home. The picture was uploaded on Instagram by a festival goer alongside the caption: ‘Couldn’t have even planned it. Big Dave C in the house, shame he can’t read.’ But it appears he hasn't quite lost his political competitiveness, as he and his wife Samantha also managed to spoil a Labour councillor's selfie by photobombing in the background (both circled right).

Campbell announced in June 2011 that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and that it was in its early stages at that time. Incredible moment athlete is BARRED from London Stadium hours before he was hoping to run for gold after being hit by vomiting virus and forced to pull out of competition
Botswana's medal hope Isaac Makwala was barred from the London Stadium just hours before the 400m final because he was hit by a vomiting virus. Shocking video footage shows the 30-year-old, who was one of the main challengers to South Africa's Wayde van Niekerk, not being allowed to enter the stadium (right). He had previously said he was 'heartbroken' after learning he could not compete in the 200m event on Monday, despite feeling fit enough to race. Makwala (left), who is a national hero in his country, had fallen victim to the sickness bug which has already struck down 30 competitors at the event in London. He told the BBC earlier in the day that he was 'not that sick' and he was 'ready to run' because he had 'just vomited'. It comes as German athletes have been moved out of the Tower Hotel in London after the outbreak of norovirus (inset).
The day the SAS entered Hell: Towards the end of the war the elite force was fighting its way across Germany, facing boy soldiers and starving civilians - then it came across the horror of Belsen
By the spring of 1945, the SAS was an established covert force, charting successes in every theatre of war, from deserts to freezing wastelands. In the concluding part of our electrifying serialisation, official historian BEN MACINTYRE reveals the unimaginable horror that members of the regiment encountered in the last days of the war. Lieutenant John Randall and his driver were motoring through forests of pine and silver birch in northern Germany when a terrible smell hit them, a cloying stench of rot and excrement that seemed to hang in the air like a plague miasma. They were the first Allied soldiers to enter Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. At that moment there appeared a smiling figure in SS uniform who introduced himself as Josef Kramer, the commandant. He offered the visitors a tour of the camp, declaring absurdly that he was not responsible for the condition of the inmates.

Haunting photos of Afghanistan reveal the scars that decades of war have left on the country as photographer who took them reveals how he was almost killed by helicopter gunships
Steve McCurry first entered Afghanistan in 1979, just days ahead of the Soviet invasion and over the course of almost four decades has taken some of the most famous images of the country, including the Afghan Girl portrait. Almost immediately after entering the country dressed in traditional robes he found himself dodging death from helicopter gunships, before having to sneak his film back across the border stitched into his clothes. A new collection of his images, spanning 1979 to 2016, document how Afghanistan has changed in that period. Left, a mother comforts her two-year-old child after he was grazed by a bullet, top left, a fruit seller pedals his wares from a burned out car, and bottom right, a man and his mule make their way through the mountains.
