'James Cameron's f**king calling me names': Josh Brolin admits turning down a role in the Avatar sequel caused a feud with the famed director
His acting career has enjoyed a resurgence in the past few years.
But it seems Josh Brolin, 49, has made a few enemies on his long path to success.
The actor admitted to a huge rift with famed director James Cameron after he turned down a role in the Avatar sequel in an interview with the latest issue of Esquire magazine.

'If I don't want to do Avatar, I'm not going to do Avatar,' he told the publication, which hits newsstands on August 15.
Josh admitted his decision made Cameron angry - to the extent that he was bad-mouthing him around Hollywood.
'James Cameron's f*****g calling me this name and that name. Whatever. If James Cameron came to me and said, "Hey, man, why'd you say that?" I'd go, "Because it happened".'
Turning down a role in the hugely popular franchise has not stopped the actor from having a massively successful career of late.

This fall, he's set to star in Only the Brave, based on the true story of 19 firefighters who died battling a wildfire in Arizona.
As an ode to the firefighters and a tribute to the hard work everyone put into the film, Brolin took to Instagram to share a nude snap of himself wearing firefighter boots and little else.
He caption the photo: 'Boots are broken in.' He stuck on hashtags: #letsdothis, #youknowwhoyouare, #respect.
The actor admitted the photo received a backlash from the production company who accused him of being disrespectful.

Brolin said he doesn't fault the studio for their reaction, but was adamant that it was exactly the kind of tribute the firefighters and their families would have wanted, so he didn't take it down.
He freely admitted he loves the social media site and 'has no shame' when it comes to sharing things.
'I love it. I have no shame. I'm not trying to pimp my career with it. I just don't give a shit. It's stuff that matters to me,' he told the publication.
The actor, who is currently filming Deadpool 2 in Vancouver alongside Ryan Reynolds is grateful for his career and where he is in life right now.
'I'm having more fun and I'm acting more than I ever have in my life,' he said.
He continued: 'In the morning, it's like I've taken half a cup of coffee and half a cup of liquid LSD and I'm tripping all day. And then there's no consequence and I actually get paid for it.'
Only the Brave is set to hit theaters in October 2017.
Josh's interview with Esquire will hit newsstands on August 15.
