Crazy Taxi Arrives For Android!Like a freewheeling, hill-jumping taxi careening around the bend and screeching to a halt outside your very door as the timer runs out, CRAZY TAXI is here — on your Android! You can pick the game up at the Google Play store now: http://bit.ly/16rqgmT The game will be coming soon for purchase on the Amazon App Store and Samsung Store, as well. A Dreamcast Classic on the GoBased on the Dreamcast original — and featuring original music by The Offspring and Bad religion — Crazy Taxi is a white-knuckled ride from one fare to the next, as you blast wildly through the streets. Much as in real life the only thing that matters is getting there on time! Terrify your passengers and other pedestrians, catch all the air you can, and pull off all the crazy tricks you can manage. Play How You LikeThe game has been optimized for Android and features multiple modes to fit either just a few minutes of craziness on the go, or longer — and therefore more crazy — sessions. To that end: Crazy Taxi features 16 mini games and the opportunity to play in Arcade or Original Mode. It’s time to make some crazy money! Crazy Taxi is now available for $4.99/€3.99 /£2.99 on Google Play and will be available later this week on the Amazon App Store and Samsung Store. | ||

I wonder If there will be a big backlash from psn and xbla users over this as the android version has the original music from the dc and arcade. And the reason that the psn and xbla versions did not have the original music was for apperent music licensing issues so if they have managed to sort it out for this version rightly so they should patch psn and xbla versions to have the original music in to.As I assume that the licensing issue to the music would apply to this version as well as the psn and xbla versions.Oh yes it also effected the pc rerelease as well.

From the Google Play description
-Controller Support – Play with your Power A Moga, Xbox, and all HID controllers!
Want to buy it… But own it on Dreamcast, XBLA, and PC.
The original soundtrack is very tempting as is the fact I own a Moga… but I will have to wait on it. I’m all Crazy Taxi’d out atm.

How long until Amazon AppStore ? I hope those looking to install on OUYA already know you can sideload AppStore and install and purchase games on the OUYA.

At last! Now can you add Xperia Play control support to After Burner Climax and also port it to PC (and Virtua Fighter 5, House of the Dead 4, House of the Dead Overkill, etc…)

Since you guys seem to have the rights to the original soundtrack again, you should patch it on the console versions. Or at least release it as DLC.

I was very excited to hear this, I am very nostalgic for dreamcast titles, the only thing holding me back from shelling out is there is no mention on Google Play store whether this is Xperia Play Optimized. Can you let us know? I want to buy this so badly.

I’m on Xperia Play, it seems it does work on the gamepad, if you have the right version of the Play, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43454779#post43454779

Can SEGA fix the PC version? Or at least port this version over since the PC game is pretty poor.

Try getting the original PC port from Empire Interactive, it seems a bit better than the Sega port (and the music is easier to replace!). Plus it has the original branded shops in the game!

If it was £2.99 I’d snap it up, but as I’ve already bought the game on PS2 and twice on PC (Empire Interactive/Strangelite port and Dreamcast Collection port) I don’t want to spend too much on it again!

Was planning to buy it today but it has suddenly mysteriously disappeared from the Play store. It was available yesterday but now all I can find are cheap knock offs. Following the original link in this article results in a not found error.
