She is working on rebuilding her marriage following her husband Wayne's drink-driving scandal in August following his night with party girl Laura Simpson.

And pregnant Coleen Rooney certainly looks to be growing happier with time as she was seen enjoying a family outing to Lapland UK alongside her three children and her beloved parents Colette and Tony McLoughlin in Ascot last week.

The 31-year-old TV personality kept her growing bump under wraps in a cosy jumper while also displaying her eye-popping engagement ring as her boys - Kai, eight, Klay, four, Kit, one - were wrapped up warm ahead of a day of fun.

Coleen looked happy and relaxed as she headed out for the family day out with her kids alongside her parents, who have acted as a beacon of support for the star.

As she played around with her kids she then shared a laugh with a security guard who seemed to be escorting the family into the venue. 

Coleen was displaying her eye-popping diamond ring as she headed into the event, just weeks after explaining why she hasn't been wearing her wedding band following the scandal which shook their marriage after he partied with Laura.

The couple have been plagued with reports their marriage is on the rocks following the footballer's wild night out in September - which saw him arrested for drink driving while behind the wheel of party girl Laura's car.

In the wake of Laura's rising fame, Coleen and Wayne have reconciled their relationship, with Coleen confirming she and her footballing beau were working on their marriage - describing the situation as 's**t'.

Laura seemed to slam the mother-of-three's decision, writing in a now-deleted tweet: 'What a load of attention seeking b******s... Very attention seeking if you ask me.'

Her comments sparked a backlash on Twitter, with one commenting: 'Learn to stay away from married men if you don't want s*** off people you s***.' 

Coleen's message read: Before all the stories begin, Yes, I have put my wedding ring on....... A lot of people will be saying "you don't have to explain yourself, don't feel like you have to do this" etc, I know I don't, but I am and I want to.

'It didn't feel right wearing my ring, I see it as a sign of commitment and I was unsure what was happening. I don't always wear my ring day to day, especially when I go the gym.

Insisting she is a 'strong person' and doesn't need people to feel sorry for her, Coleen set the record straight once and for all about her marriage.

She continued: 'A few people are probably thinking am stupid for staying in my marriage. I am not stupid, I know my mind and it's something I want to try and work on. Before the headlines start.... No, I’m not taking Wayne back as he's never left.

'Yes, it has been a s**t time, and yes, time was spent apart and I thought my marriage might have been at an end. I’m not going to list Wayne's good qualities as a person as I don't think he deserves it at this time but one thing is that he is a brilliant dad.

'He's made silly and selfish mistakes, some he's learnt from, some obviously not. However maybe that will change? In life, you don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.'

Referencing the night of Wayne's arrest for drink driving, Coleen appeared to blame the influence of alcohol for his behaviour.

The pair were recently said to have reconciled, with a new report claiming they are set to renew their vows next year.

According to The Sun, the couple are planning to reaffirm their love in their favourite holiday hot spot Barbados, as Coleen, who is pregnant with the couple's fourth child, knows 'deep down' she has forgiven him.

A source told the paper: 'To say it’s been a rough ride for both of them in recent months is an understatement. But we’ve been told they plan to renew their wedding vows next summer – maybe in Barbados.

'We were astonished as Coleen is no fool and a pretty tough cookie. He is just relieved to have another chance.'
