Lower Columbia Road Trip - July 13-15, 2018
Hit the road with Confluence to dig deeper into the storied landscape of the Columbia River system. This three day trip through the lower Columbia River, from Friday, July 13 to Sunday, July 15 takes you to special places with rich native, historical and environmental significance. Expert guest speakers share place-based knowledge and native perspectives that enrich our ever-evolving understanding of the Columbia River.
Themes include Columbia River history, tribal sovereignty and survivance, traditional ecological knowledge, evolving land ethic and designing for social change.
The trip includes visits to:
*Confluence Bird Blind at the Sandy River Delta, Troutdale, OR
*Confluence Land Bridge & Ft. Vancouver National Historic Site, Vancouver WA
*Cape Disappointment State Park, Ilwaco, WA
*Chinook Indian Nation Headquarters and historic village site, Bay Center, WA
