Gemma Collins suffers embarrassment as painfully awkward magazine interview goes viral... and fans have a field day with her 'rude' behaviour

An uncomfortable interview with TV personality Gemma Collins has been published in all its excruciatingly awkward glory, prompting a hysterical response across social media.

The Only Way Is Essex star was on hand to discuss her appropriately titled new book, The GC: How to Be a Diva, with Now magazine, but she quickly lost her temper after discovering her interviewer hadn’t been sent a copy, and consequently hadn’t read it.

Unfortunately for Gemma, 37, the ensuing conversation was transcribed and published without any attempt at toning down and editing out is more stilted moments as she became increasingly perplexed.

‘OK, so you're doing this interview without having done any research or read the book or anything?’ she barked tersely following a brief exchange of pleasantries.

Even a PR stepping in to inform Gemma that only a limited number of copies had been sent out failed to appease her, and the TV personality appeared to get increasingly irate as the interview progressed.

After being asked a simple question about the book's content, the flummoxed reality star said:‘Erm… have they given you any stuff from the book? Then you would know… it’s going to be hard to do this if you don’t know.

'Basically, it’s a real fun, fun, fun guide to life and being the best version of you.’

Gemma later attempted to terminate the interview after being asked what part of the book she likes best.

'Well, if you read it you would know, so... I think I'll wait until you get a copy and then you'll be able to embrace the book,' she said.

Uh oh: The piece had not been edited or toned in any way, therefore conveyed Gemma's confusion and anger, and the subsequent stilted moments

In her announcement, she shared a quote from Nicole Polizzi, otherwise known as Snooki from Jersey Shore.

'Ten years from now I would like to see myself successful as a brand, like Jessica Simpson, with babies running around and a beautiful husband and my own reality show,’ she said.
