Making an impression as her dark locks tumbled around her shoulders, the singer smoldered as she sported rosy-make up and fluttery eyelashes.

It was revealed in late 2017 that she would join the films cast and be on-screen for the first time in over seven years.

Cher, 72, will be playing Sophie's previously unseen grandmother Ruby Sheridan, Meryl Streep's reluctant and mean mother.

She made a dramatic entrance in the films most recent trailer by gatecrashing her granddaughter's party.

It was reported by The Sun that Cher told her co-stars: 'I was terrified when I first arrived on set, partly because everyone had been working together already, and partly because my character wasn't very liked.'

With international hit-singles including Believe and If I Could Turn Back Time under her belt, fans are eager to hear what ABBA songs the superstar will be singing.

As well as the usual ABBA classics, Cher will firstly perform with Andy Garcia from Fernando in a duet that will be no doubt breathtaking.

Cher will also lend her voice to an ensemble rendition of Super Trouper near the end of the film.

Set ten years after the original, the film follows Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) as she tries to run her mother Donna's (Meryl Streep) villa in Greece whilst pregnant, as she finds out more about her past.

In the film, Lily plays young Donna during her infamous time with her three love interests Sam (Jeremy Irvine), Harry (Hugh Skinner), and Bill (Josh Dylan).

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again 'goes back and forth in time to show how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present,' according to Deadline.

The original movie was set on a Greek island where young bride-to-be Sophie discovers that any one of three men - Bill (Stellan Skarsgard), Sam (Pierce Brosnan) or Harry (Colin Firth) could be her father.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is released in UK cinemas on July 20 2018.

When the film is released, it will mark the ten year anniversary of the original film's release and picture house Universal have promised new songs and old classics to feature.
