Rabia Khedr claims that Johnston was “inciting violence” against Muslims, but that doesn’t seem to be true, unless by “inciting violence” Khedr means simply criticizing Islam. Unless he was directly calling for violence, this is evidence that Canada’s “anti-Islamophobia” motion M-103, contrary to promises, is indeed being applied as a binding law, and is not simply a condemnation of Islamophobia without legal force.
If Johnston were a vociferous critic of Christianity, would he have been arrested and charged?

A former Mississauga mayoral candidate whose online posts targeting Muslims have prompted complaints was arrested Monday for “hate-motivated crime,” Peel Regional Police said.
Kevin J. Johnston, 45, was charged with a single count of wilful promotion of hatred following what a statement called “a lengthy investigation into numerous incidents reported to police.”
The Freedom Report website where Johnston posts his radio-host style videos, many of them aimed at the Islamic faith and individual Muslims, remained online following the arrest.
Johnston was charged under a section that outlaws promoting “hatred against any identifiable group,” other than in private conversation. He faces up to two years imprisonment if convicted.
The charge was approved by the Ontario Attorney General’s office, which has the final say on hate crimes prosecutions. He was scheduled to appear in Brampton court on Monday.
“This charge is long overdue,” said Ihsaan Gardee, executive director of the National Council of Canadian Muslims. “We welcome this development as an important step towards safeguarding our communities from unchecked hatred that both harms social cohesion and threatens the safety of community members.”
Johnston could not be reached for comment. A recorded message on his phone did not mention the arrest but said his YouTube and Twitter accounts had been suspended….
But in recent months he has become known for his remarks about Muslims, particularly in his opposition to an anti-Islamophobia motion in Parliament and weekly prayers in Peel district schools.
He had stirred complaints by offering a $1,000 reward for a recording of “hate speech” during the Friday prayers at Peel district schools. He later increased it to $2,500.

He also demonstrated outside the office of Mississauga MP Iqra Khalid to protest M-103, an anti-Islamophobia motion she had introduced in the House of Commons.
“Iqra Khalid needs to be deported as an enemy,” his website said.
Muslim leaders in the Toronto area had grown increasingly concerned about his videos singling out of their faith, which the website had called “as evil as evil gets” and a “military doctrine” that needed to be banned.
“Today the Muslim community of Peel can sleep safer knowing that there are consequences for promoting hatred and inciting violence against us,” said Rabia Khedr, Executive Director of the Muslim Council of Peel. “We hope that these charges will serve to deter future assaults on our community.”

You need to get groups of non-muslims together to complain en masse to the local governments, go to the homes, offices, and wherever your elected representatives are, and complain. If you have free speech, then it needs to be free speech, and that doesn’t mean that it is free from criticism of a group of people who may deserve criticism. That would be ANY GROUP. Islam is not a religion, it is a government with about 14% of a so-called religious component. It is time non-muslims come to grips with the fact that they are being slowly muslimized by their own governments which are afraid to deal with the truth.
Stand strong, vote out the offenders. Do not let your rights be taken away. Say something equivalent about Catholics, or Buddhists, or Mennonites, or Hindus, or Episcopalians, and if it doesn’t generate the same response from governments, then attack the law as being pro-muslim, which should be illegal.
Get busy. Get active. Get pro-active.

Reading the three major/founding texts of Islam is very informative. The Quran, Hadith, and Sira tell you everything you need to know about Islam. It’s an eye-opener.
Study the teachings, taking each one very seriously. In fact, take the founding books literally, because faithful Muslims take it literally.

Dont restrict to qu’ran if you want to understand religion, because that argument is too easily counteracted by (1) saying it’s “historical context of battles at the time, not relevant now” and (2) that the christian bible in the Old Testament especially contains such things as Yahweh ripping babies out of pregnant women on a battlefield.
the argument will stop right there. It’s not a strong enough argument to pull verses out of the main holy books.
You have to move on to what the understanding of the religious laws are. More like canon law for christianity or fiqh law for islam. And it varies with the various denominations and sects of both.
Unfortunately that means doing quite a lot of research to get to facts. When all is said and done there is still a tendency of muslims to want to dominate and to expect that they should be able to, and for some to seek glory through martyrdom.
To explain exactly how strong of a pull that is on them is not so easy though. We need better sourcing of all the islamic law texts in order to get the debate going in a way that people can’t argue so easily as individual verses…

Immediately the thought came to me that I have to be careful what I write about Islam even if it’s according to the Qur’an and the Hadiths and the Sira, falsehoods and evil which truly is Islam. His arrest chills me in trying to educate others concerning evil Islam. And another very bad result is that the active Islamists continue to work on their goal of getting more influence and power so that in due time our country becomes more and more Islamized.
Why is such a thing happening? My journalist friend Rory Leishman has an answer for the reason we now have “rampant divorce, adultery, euthanasia, assisted suicide and same -sex ‘marriage’ , but what he writes can also apply to the reason why we are losing free speech. Rory writes in the “Internim” : “The main factor is a widespread collapse in Christian faith.” It is Christianity that helped tremendously for us to have democracy and liberty and free speech. It is natural, then, for the Islamists to immensely hate Christians for their views and faith which they hold. This is directly opposite to the falsehoods of the Qur’ah and Hadiths and Sira.
How very upsetting it is, then, for us to have leaders in the State and even some in some parts of the Church to be so clueless concerning Islam. It hurts. I agree with you. It is terrible to think that free speech is a one way street. And one could be arrested for commenting on Islam. But rather than keep quiet about it, I find that simply literally quoting the Quran is all that it takes. You can’t be charged for quoting the Quran. And there are thousands of quotes in it that are so cruel and malicious and hateful and sexually deviant and perverted that by simply quoting them is sufficient enough to reveal to the world what an evil group of deviants they really are. Just imagine the publicity that the “free world” would garner that would be such an indictment of Islam if one did get charged for doing that. Because in court, all of these quotes would hit the media big time. I can hardly wait. I do hope that when he gets to court that his lawyer uses direct quotes from the Quran to qualify and justify his comments and criticisms. Wow that would be worth seeing for sure. Please tell us how Islam can be reformed. Islam has painted itself into a corner by claiming it is the immutable word of god, also that the perfect example for muslims to follow is the prophet m. So if you want to reform islam are you going to revise these statements? Then as far as I can see, Islam will fall on it’s own sword. Don’t bring in the excuse of faulty interpretations of the book. I think it is clear enough.
Also bear in mind the contribution to science from islamic scholars were laid on the foundation of the civilisations conquered by the muslims and subjected to forced conversions and dhimmitude, namely the Persian and Eastern Roman Empires. It’s not so clear cut as “immutable” due to the wide variety of “alternative readings” which gives rise to a fairly wide ambit in terms of how laws are actually implemented. It is for this reason that there is only 1 recorded instance of stoning in 500 years of Ottoman Empire.
The zealous fundamentalism associated to Islam in Saudi and with rebel movements like Boko-haram an Al-Shabaab and all the terrorist organisations, is a relatively recent excess. The idea that islam is immutable is the idea that they are pushing with the argument that the remainder of muslims have lapsed in their religion and need to drop any notion of mercy or reasonableness and just simply follow everything on an incredibly narrow reading.
So its sort of a worst case, and that’s what we’re living through.
The other side is the fact Islam retains a very strong patriarchy and some elements of warrior culture. So the treatment of women leaves much to be desired in many countries. And this is what has caused the gang rapes too. There’s a lot of male ignorance. And some of that is due to religious custom. Separation of the sexes actually helps men misbehave as they spend most of their nights out together with other men and feel no special obligation to spend any time with women or have women around. so they can become trouble makers more.
Clearly that part does need reforming. But mostly what is needed is halting and reversing the emergence of zealous fundamentalism. And radicalism. If those continue to flourish then its gonna lead to a total breakdown in relationship between rest of world and Islam for sure.
The voting of “patriotic style parties” will go through the roof.
By the way trudeau is completely pathetic and well beyond the pale. He is the absolute epitome if weak appeasing liberal, no backbone at all.

The repulsive thing is when you compare the grace and favours to the amount of media around proving just how many muslim preachers would spit on him and every other canadian, or just use them, or bully them, and sneeringly laugh at canada to see the concessions he is making.
The fact he still appeases even though there is so much in circulation to show there are a lot of muslims about who think that way, is pretty disgusting.
You would , surely, have to be at least sceptical. At least defend your own values to a degree. I just don’t get it and i find it on some level revolting that this class of politicians exists right now.

I mean just take what happened to Iran since 1980. And what’s happening to Turkey now. All there is is bids for democracy getting squashed and turned into an excuse to install either more religion or re-install various dictators.

I met Kevin at the Port Credit Royal Canadian Legion in Mississauga where he had rented a room to explain to whoever wanted to attend things that have been happening in our country and in particular in Mississauga. He also had a Hindu man who wanted to talk about the murder of Hindus by Muslims in his old country. I got there and was informed by Kevin we could not use the room as the operators of the branch did not like what he was talking about. They didn’t know what he was talking about only somehow, some influence in power had convinced them we could not continue in the branch. I was mortified not only by the appearance of these individuals at the branch, but also a physical threat made by one of these individuals against Kevin. We ultimately ended up on the street in front of the branch and held a smaller meeting in the wind and the cold but was satisfied that I had accomplished something as I had driven a considerable way for the event. As we held the meeting a very disgusting looking person continued to peer through the front window of the branch making obscene gestures with his hands, opening wide his mouth which was full of half chewed food and at one point made like he was going to pull his fly down and expose his Genitals to us. This made me so proud of our countries Legioners as all Kevin was doing, with his audience, which was not a bunch of WASPS with our torches and pitchforks, but a mixture of White, Brown and Yellow LOYAL Canadians wanting to hear him talk. I hope my fellow Canadians can support Kevin as we must stamp out this Freedom of Speech violation. I hope our Veterans, who my family when they were alive in England, Scotland and Canada were members, do not just shrug this off and we can never forget the Hearses rolling down the Hyway of Heroes with the bodies of our Canadian soldiers, who knows maybe killed by an I.E.D manufactured by Jhadi Trudeaus just made millionaire Jhadi Khadr.

A couple of months ago, there was an article in a major Canadian news outlet about M-103, the ‘islamaphobia’ motion. I commented on the perils of it. Nothing hateful whatsoever. The next morning I woke up to find that my Facebook account was suspended.
A couple of days ago, I commented on this story, in the same publication. There were a few dozen other comments, all expressing outrage over this situation. The next day, all comments but one had been deleted.
It’s very alarming that these types of incidents seem to be becoming commonplace. And it seems to happen whenever criticism of Islam is involved. Go figure.

Canada’s law genuinely disturbing. But in a way the arrest is good because it will flag up the dangers of such a law to a very great many Canadians. And they will inevitably notice the double standard that the qu’ran itself includes so much hatred “towards identifiable groups”. And so do the haddiths and much of the sermonizing , literature and DVDs.
The muslim community will have to be on absolute tip-toes to avoid the same charges. And if they do not act with an even hand, it will simply drive up so called “far right” movements and politics in Canada in response to this very problematic law.
Totally the wrong way to go, they have made a mistake. The left keeps on making this same error in how to “control” hate. It is not arresting people who are alarmed about qu’ran teachings, it is preventing terrorism.

The liberal government under Trudeau has become the ‘poster (political) party’ for hypocrisy. Criticism and even calls for violence against other groups, especially Jews, is condoned under Freedom of Speech, but with M-103 Muslims are given special dispensations, even though Islam itself calls for hate and violence towards the rest of us kaffirs.
Muslims know that overt violence is not (yet) condoned in Canada, but Trudeau has handed them other weapons to use against us; the right to silence us through nazi-like judges and tribunals who have the right to levy unconscionable fines on people and even put us in prison.
Because of his intellectual and emotional shortcomings and gullibility, Trudeau is a disaster for Canada, IMO.

It is not hate speech to point out all of the evils done in the name of National Socialism in Germany. It is simply history, stating what took place. Similarly, for me to state that the Islamic Invasion of India lasted four centuries, and claimed 80 million lives, is historical fact. Unlike Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Rwanda, the killing went on for almost four hundred years. It was not an aberration, but rather one of the defining characteristics of Islam. It has always been a “religion” of war and conquest.
Even today, a man was sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia for publicly renouncing Islam, and embracing atheism. An Imam up in Davis CA, is still calling for the killing of Jews. Where is the outrage among the International Community over a death sentence for atheism? A good portion of the population in Muslim countries still favor the death penalty for apostasy.
When Dawkins “The God Delusion” was translated into Arabic, there were 10 million downloads in Muslim Countries, and about 30% of those were in Saudi Arabia. That is about 3 million. If you consider that embracing what he says openly is punishable by death, that is a clear indication that you have an enormous number of intelligent people in those countries who think Islam is a lousy religion which they don’t want to follow, but only do so out of fear of reprisal.
