Lamar Odom has claimed he was not to blame for the four day bender at a Nevada brothel that nearly killed him, instead saying he was poisoned by its late owner.
The 39-year-old former basketball player is promoting his new autobiography, Darkness to Light, which contains anecdotes about his marriage to Kardashian and his sex and drug addiction.
To promote it, he has given several interviews, including one on The View on Tuesday where he claimed he did not voluntarily take drugs at The Love Ranch, the Nevada brothel where he nearly died in 2015.
Instead, he thinks he was 'poisoned' by its late owner, Dennis Hof, who died last year.
Odom suffered 12 seizures and six strokes after a four day bender at the brothel. He says he does not remember most of it.
'I didn't do drugs that night. I don't know what he had against me. He tried to kill me.
'I don't know if he poisoned me....he tried - he almost succeeded,' he said. He insisted that he did not do drugs and said he wanted to 'clear his name.'

When he was taken to the hospital, doctors found he had smoked crack cocaine and taken 'virtually ever drug' imaginable.
Elsewhere he spoke of hiding his drug habit like 'a professional' from Kardashian and told of one occasion where, after she caught him in a hotel room with a stripper, she 'beat the sh** out of her'.
'I had broken my vows with Khloé so many times it’s just impossible for me to remember them all. I don’t know why Khloé stayed with me.
'[She] opened the door and pounced on the first girl she saw,' he wrote.
Kardashian's representatives did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's inquiries on Tuesday.
In his book, he also discussed his life before meeting Khloe and described a party at his home in Miami which turned into a 'full-blown orgy'.
'People were having sex in the pool, the Jacuzzi, on the lawn, in chairs, standing up against a heat lamp.
'[The] party stretched into the wee hours, until every last fantasy had been fulfilled and every desire met,' he wrote.
'I have been obsessed with sex as long as I can remember. I used sex to fill the void,' he said, referring to the death of his mother when he was a child.
He also claims to have used a 'fake black c**k' to pass a drug test before the 2004 Olympics and says he has paid for countless abortions over the years.
'I've paid for plenty of abortions over the years. I'm not proud of it. It's the law and legal, but I don't feel proud about it at all,' he said.

During an interview with ABC, he admitted he still smokes marijuana and joked about the last time he did cocaine, laughing when asked if he had done it 'yesterday', and said the first time he ever tried it was 'like unleashing a demon'.
'I was a professional at hiding it.
'You don't want your wife to know that you're sniffing coke and ... having sex with other women,' he said.
He also revisited his 2015 visit to The Love Ranch, a brothel in Nevada, where he was found unconscious after suffering six strokes and 12 seizures.
'I was just thinking about trying to go have fun,' he said, adding that he went there after Khloe kicked him out of the house following an argument in which he threatened to kill her.
In his book, he describes shouting at her: 'I'll f*****g kill you. You don't know what I'm capable of.'
He said she was likely 'scared' of him at the time because his drug habit had become so severe.
'I'm pretty sure she had to be scared at that point in time. I'm thinking about it now, like, I couldn't believe how I was treating that queen like that,' he said.

Odom said he went to The Love Ranch to 'have fun' after being kicked out by Khloe. He said he does not remember taking drugs and that it is a miracle he is alive
'She took care of me. I had everything I ever wanted or needed.
'At that time, I was also playing really good basketball,' he said, adding that he 'loved' being part of the Kardashian-fame circus.
'A red carpet is rolled out for you everywhere you go...what's not to love about that?' he said.
Being so famous helped him stay 'on point' too, he added, until it brought him the attention of millions of women and reignited his urges to cheat.
'For a little while I handled it well because it kept me on point, on my A-game, but then as the show grew, women, just started to come out of nowhere.
'I've never been ugly but it was kind of hard to choose who was who and why they were coming after me so strongly,' he sad.
When Khloe threw him out of their house, he said he felt like a child being 'kicked out'.
In his interview with The View, he called Khloe his 'angel' and said she reminded him of his late mother which is why they married so quickly, after just one month of dating.
'When I looked at Khloe, I seen my mother in her eyes. I think that's why I was able to...Just the shape of her eyes, her soul.
'Soulmates right away. I've lost my angel,' he said.
He added that had spoken 'recently' and said he was hopeful they would become friends again.
In his ABC interview, he laughed when asked if he had taken cocaine before the interview, denying it, and saying he could not remember the last time he took the drug.
'I can't even remember. It's been, a long time. Did I sniff cocaine before this interview? No.
'All that you can do is believe me and if you don't, there's nothing I can do,' he said.
Odom married Khloe Kardashian in 2009 after a month of dating. He said he was a 'professional' at hiding his cocaine addiction from her but that he eventually unraveled and even threatened to kill her during one argument
Despite spending a month in rehab in 2016, Odom said he still drinks occasionally and smokes marijuana 'to this day'.
'I smoke marijuana to this day to help with some anxiety. Helps cool me down.
Odom also describes cheating on Taraji Henson in his memoir
'Everybody's path in rehab and after rehab is going to be different to find sobriety.
'What's going to be good for you might not work for me,' he said.
The Kardashians rallied around Odom after the brothel incident and helped him in his early recovery.
In his memoirs, he describes their support.
'[Khloé] didn’t shower for four days and brushed her teeth in a small room next door.
'Kim’s resilience was incredible too,' he said.
In his interview on Tuesday, he said the family did not get 'enough credit' for staying so close throughout their years in the public eye.
'They're really strong. I don't think they get credit for it enough. If you've bee through what they've been through and are still as tight as they are, they're past the money,' he said.
When he continued using drugs afterwards, Khloe pursued a divorce.
She had filed for it two years before the brothel incident but the pair tried to repair their marriage.
Odom also discusses cheating on Taraji Henson, who he dated before marrying Kardashian, saying: 'God gave me a layup and I blew it. I felt guilty, but I was craving immediate sex.'
