If you've found this post then you're prolly writing for me in a fest. If so, this is not intended to stifle anyone's creativity, but if you're here stalking then we may not know each other well and this may be the best way to figure to what to write for me. Certainly, if you're floundering (and trust me, I've been there), this post may help. This of course works only for HP since that's the vast majority of what I read/write.

Preferred Pairings:
Slash – Severus/Harry (my OTP), Harry/Draco, and any combination of Harry, Severus, Draco, Neville, Bill, Remus, Charlie, Kingsley, Blaise, George. And honestly, just because I haven't mentioned your fave pairing doesn't mean I'm not interested. If you have strong feelings about a slash pairing convince me.
Het - Harry/Luna, Severus/Hermione, Severus/Rosemerta, Severus/Lily, Charlie/Hermione, Seamus/Hermione, Blaise/Hermione, George/Hermione, Lucius/Hermione, Draco/Ginny, Blaise/Ginny, Harry/Astoria, Dudley/Millicent, Scorpius/Lily Luna, Scorpius/Rose. I also like some canon pairings, specifically: Arthur/Molly, Bill/Fleur, Draco/Astoria, Lucius/Narcissa.
Threesomes – Severus/Harry/Draco, Harry/Draco/Neville just to name a few. Really, if you like them together, I prolly will, too, so have fun.
Characters (Gen) – anything involving Snape, Harry, Neville, Luna, Hermione, Draco, Lucius, Pansy, Millicent, Slytherins in general, Kingsley, Teddy, Charlie, Bill, Scorpius, James Sirius, Albus Severus, Lily Luna, Rose.
Dislikes: Harry/Ginny, Harry/Hermione, Snape/Dumbledore, Fenrir/anyone, Marauders era, Death Eaters being, well, evil death eaters, name-only characters.

Squicks: Chan under 16, incest (except for twincest and Lily Luna, who I can see doing her male relatives, lol), hate-sex, heavy BDSM, D/s, A/B/O, infantilism/ageplay, torture, watersports, scat, saccharine endings, suicide and self-harm, crack, non-con and dub-con, men who cry, lots of pain, unrelenting angst, non-magic AU/AR, infidelity, humiliation, Roman showers, munging (if you don't know, don't look it up, trust me - ugh), necrophilia. Also, I'm really not fond of photo manips, sims, or poser art.

You should be aware of my world view: In my mind Snape is not dead. No body, no funeral, no portrait, no death. If you do create something for me in which he is (allegedly) dead he'll need to be brought back to life in some way unless that isn't the focus of the story - i.e. a non-Snarry pairing (although I have no idea why you would want to write that for me... *g*). Certainly, if the pairing is H/D or a non-Snape pairing then, fine, he can be dead I suppose, but I won't LIKE it. :P
Just so we're clear, if Harry marries Ginny and has children with her, he only did so because he thought his Half-Blood Prince was dead. As soon as he realizes that Snape is still alive, he's totally leaving her and going to his Severus.
Same goes if you're writing Harry/Draco.

And seriously, above all, just enjoy yourself no matter what you're creating. If you're having fun then that will come across in your creation and I'll love it. Promise. :)
